Here, you have 20-30 seconds to try and hide, and when the clock hits 270, two [[Waterwraiths]] fall and start rolling around the level. If you hid in one of the "tunnels" you can attack the [[Waterwraiths]] with not many problems. more enemies are also there. at the start the is a [[Anode Dweevil]] and 2 [[Volatile Dweevils]]. Enemies that fall are [[Yellow Wollywog]], [[Anode Beetle]] and [[Wollywog]]. You get 25 [[Purple Pikmin]] at the start but cannot convert them into other types. One of the [[Waterwraiths]] drops the key and the other one drops that freaky baby head!(in the story mode it's the silencer.)

Besides the pair of Waterwraiths, other creatures make an appearance in the Den as well. There are two [[Volatile Dweevil]]s and two [[Anode Dweevil]]s hiding in the hallway filled with small metal pipes. Throwing [[Purple Pikmin]] in the open areas and in the tunnel will cause shock waves, causing more creatures to fall from the ceiling; those creatures being a [[Wollyhop]], a [[Yellow Wollyhop]], and six [[Anode Beetle]]s. You may want to take them out as fast as you can since they can be irritating when trying to defeat a Waterwraith. You can also risk not trying to meet any of them at all and hope none of them fall while battling the bosses.
 
When exactly a minute in the sublevel (once the timer reaches 270), the Waterwraiths fall and begin rolling around the cavern. They can easily be subdued by [[ultra-bitter spray|petrifying]] both and assaulting their rollers once they break free.
