The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Snack Pit is the sixteenth level in Pikmin 2's Challenge Mode. All the treasures are various foodstuffs, except for The Key – you'll have play tug-of-war with the various gluttonous Breadbugs to recover it.

Sublevel 1Edit

See also: Giant Breadbug strategy.

The Giant Breadbug has The Key – wait until it attempts to drag a treasure to its den and then overpower it using your Purple Pikmin. You'll need to drag it to the Research Pod twice to defeat it. Alternatively, just throw Purple Pikmin on its back to inflict damage, although it'll take a fair number of stomps to bring it down.

You'll need to similarly defeat every other Breadbug on the floor if you want every treasure. If they happen to drag every treasure back to their den, you'll have to use your Purple Pikmin to stomp them instead.

It should be very easy to get a pink flower on this challenge. You'll need to be careful to make sure a Breadbug doesn't drag a Pikmin back to its den, but there are no other lethal threats.
