The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Trampled Garden is the ninth level in Pikmin 2's Challenge Mode. This challenge only has a single sublevel and has no lethal threats; a pink flower is guaranteed unless you leave a buried Pikmin sprout behind.

The challenge's name likely refers to the duality of the enemies present: Mamutas will flower your Pikmin, while the Withering Blowhogs will wilt them.

Sublevel 1Edit

This challenge consists of two circular rooms connected via hallway, not unlike the Emergence Cave's first sublevel. The Key is somewhere out in the open, but you'll likely need to defeat the Mamutas and Withering Blowhogs to carry it back without interruption. Use your Purple Pikmin to defeat them quickly before any of your Pikmin are buried or wilted.

Once the sublevel's clear, you can focus on collecting all the treasure if you want a high score. There's quite a lot of it, so you'll need to work quickly to collect it all before time runs out. Three of them are fully buried, so you'll need to swarm your White Pikmin around to find them.

Given how none of the enemies can directly kill Pikmin, a pink flower ranking is all but guaranteed. Make sure you pluck any Pikmin that were buried by the Mamutas before you leave, however – sprouts left behind count as deaths.
