The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Cave of Pain is the twenty-seventh level in Pikmin 2's Challenge Mode. There are many large and mean beasts that often fall out of the sky, along with boulders and bomb-rocks.

Sublevel 1[edit]

You should start off by taking your leader and trigger all the falling boulders, enemies and bomb-rocks. Anode Dweevils should be killed with the leaders or with Pikmin if you are very careful. Use an ultra-bitter spray with the Fiery Bulblax and kill the Hairy Bulborb by luring it near a bomb-rock when it explodes. When you think you have the key however, more will fall from the sky in the form of Anode Dweevils that scoop up the key. Without Yellow Pikmin, it is recommended to grab the key and move it away than trying to defeat them.
