The Dream Material is a treasure in Pikmin 2. it is a large, greatly used white eraser. It is found on the last sublevel (6) of the Glutton's Kitchen, and is held by the territorial Giant Breadbug. When Olimar retrieves this treasure, the ship turns it into a usable item known as the Anti-Electrifier. If the Giant Breadbug is defeated first, the other Breadbugs won't take it to their dens.
Anti-Electrifier

Pikmin 2
The Anti-Electrifier, when unlocked, makes the leaders' suits immune to electricity, including electrical attacks. The Titan Dweevil's electrical blasts, however, still knock leaders down, but without dealing any space-suit damage. This device is particularly useful when trying to pass by electrical hazards with a group of Yellow Pikmin.
Pikmin 3
The Anti-Electrifier, along with the Scorch Guard and Metal Suit Z return in Pikmin 3. It has the same function in Pikmin 2, to protect the user from electricity and electric attacks. It also allows you to attack enemies with an electric defense. It's found in the Distant Tundra near the snowy patch where Charlie crash landed in the beginning of the game. Note that, despite the fact that this area is explored with Pikmin, the suit upgrade is actually not present. Exploration note area hint 5 says that Captain Olimar buried it because he found Captain Charlie's impression in the snow and wanted to aid the unfortunate explorer. He even put an instruction manual for it (which tells you the function of it). All 3 suits are said to be sold on Koppai. In Mission Mode's battle bosses you don't have any of the suits. To prove it, face the 6th boss and run into the discharge plasm (the one that looks like a plasma globe).
Area Hint 5
Looks like someone took a tumble here in the fresh snow... Perhaps someone else is stranded here! If anyone is reading this there are several electrical contraptions in this area. I've buried something here in the snow. Hopefully it's useful!
Notes
Ship's dialogs
“Processing...How bizarre. An item appears to have fallen out of that freakish creature.
It must have been a greedy beast to swallow something like this.
This intriguing material does not conduct electricity.
It is far more advanced than the material I was researching. ...How frustrating.
A space suit made from this wonder alloy would insulate the wearer from electric shocks.
Excellent! This new material has allowed me to complete my Anti-Electrifier!
It is my own invention, with only the smallest iota of outside inspiration.
I have reconfigured your suits with this new material. They will now protect you from electricity!”Olimar's journal
