The Optical Illustration (わかる者のプレート?, lit.: "Understood Person Plate") is a Ragú pasta sauce lid that is found in the Perplexing Pool in the American version of Pikmin 2. In the European version it is replaced by the Abstract Masterpiece, and in the Japanese version it is replaced by the Yell Battery. The text on the treasure reads:

It is located near the Citadel of Spiders but is near an electric gate surrounded by water, making a volatile combination. First, defeat any Yellow Wollywogs and Shearwigs in the way.
