The Essence of True Love (宇宙愛のモニュメント?, lit.: "Monument of Space Love") is one of the treasures found in Pikmin 2. It is actually a cushion cut sapphire mounted on a square gold or brass loop. It is located on the second sublevel in Hole of Heroes. This level is filled with Swooping Snitchbugs, Bumbling Snitchbugs, and other flying enemies. Before retrieving it, defeat the Antenna Beetle and the Anode Beetles, as the former poses a hinderance in finding this treasure and the latter can pose a threat to your non-Yellow Pikmin. Locate the treasure with the Treasure Gauge and bring it to the Ship's Pod. Watch out for Snitchbugs and Careening Dirigibugs, which can cause disaster to unattended groups of Pikmin.
