The Hypnotic Platter (おとなのエンブレム?, lit.: "Adult Emblem") is a treasure found in Pikmin 2. It is found in the thirteenth sublevel of the Dream Den, inside one of the large, sleeping Bulborbs in the level. Use Purple Pikmin to defeat all the Bulborbs in the way and carry the treasure to the ship's pod. The Hypnotic Platter is actually an A&W bottle cap.

In the European version of Pikmin 2, this treasure is a Vitamalz bottle cap. It is found in the Awakening Wood, on the same tree stump that the Healing Cask is found in the US version of Pikmin 2.

In the Switch port, the treasure is an unbranded orange juice bottle cap labelled "PREMIUM ORANGE JUICE 19th ANNIVERSARY".

The guide is the same as for the Healing Cask.

Notes

Olimar's journal

Strange story... When I inspected this item on the planet's surface, I was suddenly overcome with such a raging thirst that I thought I might fall unconscious. Having no tasty beverage at hand, I had to resort to licking the condensation from the inside of my helmet. I feel such shame.

Sales pitch

The bizarre insignia on this serrated platter inspires inexplicable feelings of pleasure that can only be replicated by a long, cool drink. Or so I am told.

Trivia

  • The Nintendo Switch port's design mentions a "19th anniversary", most likely alluding to how the port was released 19 years after the original game.
