The Gyroid Bust is a haniwa, resembling the ones found in Animal Crossing and its sequels, Animal Crossing: Wild World and Animal Crossing: City Folk. In the Animal Crossing games, the items are called 'Gyroids'. These items sit next to the players house, and possess a cap that makes them resemble a fire hydrant. In Wario Ware: Twisted!, a gyroid is featured in a micro-game titled "Gyroid Jumble", the goal of which is to fit the gyroid in to a hole that fit its arm's positions. The treasure in Pikmin 2 is found on the last (7th) sublevel of the Bulblax Kingdom, and can be acquired right after the Emperor Bulblax is defeated, as well as the Forged Courage, which unlocks the Scorch Guard for the Exploration Kit.
