The Colossal Fossil is a treasure appearing to be the skull of an ancient primate found in Pikmin 2. It is found on the sixth sublevel of the Bulblax Kingdom, partially buried in an alcove. When Pikmin dig it up, a Bomb Rock is likely to fall from above. It slightly resembles the skulls that hold bomb rocks in the first game.
