This article is about chocolate truffle. For the strawberry truffle, see Diet Doomer. For the pistachio truffle, see Pale Passion. For the white chocolate truffle, see White Goodness.

The King of Sweets (キング・オブ・スイート?, lit.: "King of Sweets") is a treasure in Pikmin 2. It is actually a dark chocolate truffle wrapped in a very formal piece of paper.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The King of Sweets is found on Sublevel 4 of the Citadel of Spiders and is held by one of the Hermit Crawmads in the area. Water Dumples also pose a hazard for Pikmin carrying it.

Note that due to how sublevel generation works, it is possible for no Hermit Crawmad to spawn, making it impossible to obtain the King of Sweets, as detailed here and here.

Notes

Olimar's journal

I've discovered a complex series of underground tunnels beneath the Perplexing Pool. It seems like I can't walk ten steps without discovering something previously unheard of! Making new discoveries nourishes my explorer spirit. As a reward for my latest scientific breakthrough, I think I'll eat this grand sweet.

Sales pitch

Humanoid desire knows no limits. Some things can never be known or understood. And no researcher, no matter how supreme, will ever tire of consuming this thing. It contains a mystic flavor born of the cosmos itself, and is said to change flavor as it is eaten.

I've discovered a complex series of underground tunnels beneath the Perplexing Pool. It seems like I can't walk 10 steps without discovering something previously unheard of! Making new discoveries nourishes my explorer spirit. As a reward for my latest scientific breakthrough, I think I'll eat this grand sweet.

  • Translation: As expected, there is a vast underground world under the Perplexing Pool as well. Every time I visit this planet, I make new discoveries! It really tickles the explorer's spirit. Okay, I'm going to snatch a bite of this food to keep my energy up for tomorrow.

Sales pitch (Japanese)[edit]

  • Translation: Human desire is something that runs deep. It is something that can never be suppressed. No matter how supreme or ultimate something is, eventually you will get tired of eating it. But here is a mysterious flavor born of the universe. A legendary dessert that is said to change its flavor every time it is eaten.
