The Time Capsule is a treasure in Pikmin 2. It is actually a golden locket with a picture of a Shetland Sheepdog. In Japan, the picture is that of a house cat. It is found on Sublevel 4 of the Citadel of Spiders, and some enemies may need to be defeated once it is found.

Trivia
- In the Japanese version of Pikmin 2, the picture inside the locket is a cat instead of a dog. This is because at the time, cats were more common pets than dogs in Japan.
- The Shetland Sheepdog in the PAL and NTSC versions may be referencing Shigeru Miyamoto's dog, Pikku which the name "Pikmin" derived from.
