The Stellar Orb (日焼けマシン?, lit.: "Suntanning Machine") is a treasure found in Pikmin 2. It is actually a lightbulb. The treasure can be found on the ninth and final sublevel of the Subterranean Complex and is held by a powerful Man-at-Legs. When this treasure is retrieved, it unlocks the Solar System component of the Exploration Kit. Like some other treasures, if the player defeats the Man-at-Legs, but does not have enough Pikmin to carry the Stellar Orb, which requires the strength of five Pikmin, it will change weight to match the player's army. Oddly, the treasure has an opposite effect on tenth and final sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos: it will be darker if the Stellar Orb was retrieved.
