Oddly, in the GameCube version, its name is not in title case, like all other treasures. This was changed in the ''[[New Play Control!]]'' remake.

The Empty Space Container (mistakenly Empty space container in the GameCube version; 亜空間コンテナ?, lit.: "Subspace Container") is a treasure found in the Japanese and European versions of Pikmin 2, where it is actually an open shellfish tin of potential Japanese origin. It is found on sublevel 8 of the Cavern of Chaos, where there are a lot of Dwarf Red Bulborbs and a couple of Gatling Groinks. It is the only treasure on the sublevel.

The packaging's product and company info read:

有明産・赤貝味付
キョクヨー

Which means they are season red clams from Ariake, from Kyo-kuyou Co. LTD.

The following article or section needs help from someone who can translate Japanese text.
Some notes: Translate the rest of the packaging.

When all these containers pile up in my ship, I start to wonder... would I be better off working as a treasure hunter or stay in the transportation business as always?

Sales pitch

The interior of this container ignores the physical laws of size and became indefinite space. All objects placed in it become indefinitely big and indefinitely small.
