This article is about the red robot toy that provides fire invulnerability. For the blue toy that provides enhanced defense, see Justice Alloy.

The Forged Courage is a treasure found in Pikmin 2. It is actually the top half of a red toy robot with guns for arms, similar to the Justice Alloy. It is found on the last sublevel (7) of the Bulblax Kingdom, inside the body of the Emperor Bulblax, the cave's boss. To defeat this enemy, it is advised to throw multiple Purple Pikmin onto its eyes while still submerged. Collecting this item grants the ability of the Scorch Guard, part of the Exploration Kit.

Scorch Guard

This article or section needs to be cleaned up, either its format or general style.

Pikmin 2

The Scorch Guard is an armor upgrade that makes all pilots' suits impervious to fire. This way, there is no need to worry about being hurt when destroying fire geysers, or fighting enemies such as the Fiery Blowhog or Fiery Bulblax.

Pikmin 3

The Scorch guard returns in Pikmin 3, along with the Anti-Electrifier and Metal Suit Z. Its function to the same in Pikmin 2, to protect the user from fire and fire based attacks. It also let's you attack enemies with a fiery defense. It's found in Twilight River buried on a ledge near the path leading to the Burrowing Snagret (the only one in story mode). The exploration note area hint 7 says that Captain Olimar doesn't need it anymore so he buried it so that someone could get as much use out of it as he did. He even left an instruction manual in it (which tells you it's function). All 3 suits are said to be sold on Koppai. In Mission Mode's battle bosses you don't have any of the suits. To prove it, face the 6th boss and run into the combustion plasm.

Area Hint 7

I consider myself to be a hardened veteran of planetary exploration now. With so many battles under my spacebelt, I no longer have need for this little item. I've since buried it nearby. Hopefully someone will be able to get use out of it.

-Captain Olimar

Notes

Ship's dialogs

My initial report indicates that the giant bulblax spat out some sort of object.

It looks fascinating, but it's drenched in that creature's internal juices. Disgusting!

... ... ... ... Oh, don't roll your eyes at me. I'll store it for you...

This material has perplexing properties. I will try fusing it with this spare space suit.

Processing...complete. Success! Behold my latest invention, the Scorch Guard!

Thanks to the heat-resistant alloy, this suit is now impervious to fire!

Olimar's journal

I found this marvelous alloy in a hole swarming with bulborbs! On that adventure, I even clashed with an Emperor Bulblax! In honor of my triumph over that appallingly obese beast, I named the hole the Bulblax Kingdom.

Sales pitch

A heat-resistant alloy forged in the fires of justice and passion. Wear it and feel courage's burn! You have nothing to fear! (Due to horrid ventilation, this is not suited for sweaty beings.)
