The Silencer is the head of a doll, most likely a baby doll. It is found on the last (10) sublevel of the Cavern of Chaos, and is held by the elusive, but extremely aggressive Segmented Crawbster. It is much worth it having to beat such a powerful creature to get such a staggering sum of x670 (666 in the Japanese version), as that is the third highest treasure value (though there are multiple treasures worth x1000). Staring at it long enough makes it possible to see the eyes blink, as the lids will move when the head is tilted (similar to other toy dolls). This will only occur when the head is being carried by Pikmin, or in the screen where the name is first mentioned.
Notes
Olimar's Journal
"This ship is noisy, but nothing compares to the boss's inane chatter. Blah blah blah! It never ends! He could learn a lot from this noiseless, disembodied head. Louie's quiet nature was hard to adjust to, but now I've grown to appreciate the peace and quiet."
Sales Pitch
"The perfect gift in this age of overwhelming information, this mute face cherishes silence. If you value peace and quiet, why not spend some time staring into this face? One hour... Two hours... I am...feeling...drowsy... Energy-saving...mode...initiated

Trivia
- The value of this treasure was changed from x666 for releases outside Japan, presumably for its connotations with the devil in many cultures.
