The Repugnant Appendage is a treasure in Pikmin 2; it is actually a dirty pink shoe with a velcro strap and a teddy bear on it. It is found on the final sublevel of Frontier Cavern and is in the possession of an Empress Bulblax that constantly gives birth to offspring known as Bulborb Larvae. When retrieved, the Rush Boots component of the Exploration Kit is unlocked.
Rush Boots
The Rush Boots are a modification to the captains' footwear by The Ship that allows them to run more quickly, at the same speed as flowered White Pikmin. They work by reducing air resistance and so allowing the captains to have greater speed. The Rush Boots also renders the blowing attack of Puffy and Withering Blowhogs ineffective against captains. They can however be a hinderance, as the pikmin's speed is not increased so they fall behind, are harder to control and often get stuck where going round corners.
