Aerial Incinerator is the seventh Dandori Challenge stage in Pikmin 4. It makes heavy use of conveyor belts and fire starters.

OverviewEdit

The S.S. Beagle begins in the centre of a metallic underground stage, with many conveyor belts travelling in inconvenient directions. To clear the path for the Pikmin, a fire stater must be used to burn away some dried plants blocking passages, Candypop Buds, treasure, and the buttons which switch the conveyor belts.

LayoutEdit

This stage is set on a platform high above the ground, making it the only Dandori Challenge stage with bottomless pits. There are conveyor belts whose directions can be switched using a pair of buttons.

The S.S. Beagle lands in the centre of a collection of rooms, in the north half of a larger space. Immediately next to it is a pink Candypop Bud, as well as three paths, two of which are conveyor belts- the one in the north pointed away from the Beagle, and the one in the west pointed towards it. A regular path extends to the east, and on the far south side, another conveyor belt points away.

Following the south path leads to a small room with four Shearwigs ready to crawl out of the ground. Four dead-ends extend from the south of this room, containing a Mega Horn, 50 gold nuggets, a pink Candypop Bud, and the stage's pre-lit bonfire altar. There is a conveyor belt to the west which points towards this room, and a regular path to the east.

To the east of both the starting room and the south room is another larger room, roughly the same size as the starting room. A Puffy Blowhog floats above this room, and the three connecting dead-ends contain a Harmonic Synthesizer, a large nectar egg and an unlit bonfire altar. The path north of this room is blocked by dried plants, but is a regular path once these are burned.

The room in the north-east is a smaller one, with a Flighty Joustmite buried in the centre. The three dead ends on the east side contain the Wind Detector, the Shake-a-Smile and a pile of 71 gold nuggets. The platform on which the leafling sits is to the west of this room, and underneath it sits a small nectar egg. The path west is regular.

To the north of the starting room is another, very small room. Dried plants take up most of the space, and once they are burned, they reveal the Ambiguous Hostel. An unlit bonfire altar sits immediately next to these dried plants, on the east side. While the south exit is a conveyor belt, the west and east sides are regular.

In the north-west corner is another bundle of dried plants, this time in the corner of a much larger room with two Swooping Snitchbugs nearby. Burning these plants reveals two pink Candypop Buds, and the dead end to the north contains a second large nectar egg. The Emperor Whistle sits on a raised platform in the south-west corner of this room.

To the immediate west of the starting area is a small room with a single Swooping Snitchbug and a pile of 40 gold nuggets in a corner. Conveyor belts to the south and east of this room both point away from it by default, while the north path is regular.

The south-western room is elevated, and both paths leading to it are conveyor belts. Dried plants cover the north-east corner, and when burned, they reveal the buttons to change the direction of this stage's conveyor belts, as well as a ledge that Pikmin carrying things off this platform can drop down to reach the starting room. In the south-west corner are dead ends containing 60 gold nuggets, two pink Candypop Buds and the Time Marker.

TriviaEdit

  • The Dandori Challenge menu claims that this stage reaches high into the sky, although in Story Mode, it is located deep underground like all other Dandori Challenge caves.
  • With the exception of Gold Nuggets, all of the treasures in this Dandori Challenge are musical instruments.
