Battle in a Box is the second Dandori Battle stage in Pikmin 4. It is a medium-sized square-shaped stage with a lowered area in the center and bases at opposite corners, set in a toybox-like environment with wooden blocks and foam mats. In Story Mode, the opponent is the Olimar leafling. In Dandori Battle mode is it unlocked by completing a match of Trial Run. It has a time limit of 5 minutes.
How to reach
It will be either in the Sun-Speckled Terrace, Blossoming Arcadia, or Serene Shores, depending on which Dandori Battle is entered second.
Layout
Battle in a Box is set in a square-shaped arena, with various low walls dividing it into several sections. The two bases are in opposite corners, surrounded by pellets and basic enemies. In the other two corners there are tougher enemies, nuggets, buried treasures, and more pellets. These corners have open access from one base and are blocked from the other base by a dirt wall, which can be destroyed to allow quicker access to the objects there. The center of the arena is lower than the rest, with ramps leading down to it from all four corners, and has tougher enemies and more nuggets.

Notes
“Targeting Bonus Finds is the trick to becoming a Dandori pro! But remember that frozen enemies shatter on impact and can't be carried.”
“Not too big and not too small. This stage is just the right size and well-balanced for all play styles.”
