The Fiery Dweevil is an enemy in Pikmin 2. Dweevils like to pick up treasures and defeated enemies and put them on their bodies. When there is something on their body, they can't be damaged by Pikmin or pilots until the body or treasure is taken off. To take it off the body, just throw Pikmin on the Dweevil's body or punch it several times. This particular species of Dweevil, when agitated by attacks, will release searing flames that will set Pikmin on fire. This makes Red Pikmin the best choice in battle. However, since Purple Pikmin can stun any small Dweevil, they will also work well.

Strategy
Pikmin
Attack it with reds. If reds are not available, it's probably better to kill it with captains, especially if you have the Scorch Guard. Purples also work, as they have a hundred percent chance of stunning any small Dweevil.
Captains
Run up to it and attack it until it starts glowing. If the Scorch Guard has already been acquired, keep attacking; if not, run away before it attacks, then run back when the flames extinguish and repeat the assault.
Trivia
- The second word of its scientific name is not Latin. It is a corruption of "napalm". Napalm is a very sticky and flammable substance often used by the military.
- The Fiery Dweevil was one of four unused enemies for the roulette in Pikmin 2's 2-Player Battle, the other three being the Caustic Dweevil, the Spotty Bulbear, and the Antenna Beetle.
