An ice wall.

Ice walls are gates in Pikmin 4 that are made of an icy material. Only Ice Pikmin, the rookie Rescue Officer with the Thermal Defense, Oatchi with the Pup Thermal Defense, and Glow Pikmin can attack these walls without getting frozen. They can also be destroyed with fire starters or Bomb Rocks. Visually, they look like light blue evaporators.

Areas

• Blossoming Arcadia - Each has 4000 HP
  • There are two ice walls in this area. The first wall can be found slightly northeast of the Sunwashed Plateau base, guarded by a Creeping Chrysanthemum, and just past the Swooping Snitchbug. The wall is adjacent to a pile of raw materials, and on the opposite side is the Velvety Dreamdrop. The second wall is located on the raised section southeast of the Misshapen Pond base, needing the climbing wall to be built and the potted mushrooms to be broken. This gate allows for the Kingdom of Beasts to be accessed. Each wall has 4000 HP.

Caves

• Seafloor Resort - Has 4000 HP
  • There is one ice wall on sublevel 2. It is at the bottom of the western path from the S.S. Beagle, and it has 4000 HP.
• Subzero Sauna - Has 1333 HP
  • There is one ice wall on sublevel 1. The wall can be found directly west of the base, with a Chillyhop on the other side. It has 1333 HP.
• Doppelgänger's Den - Has 4000 HP
  • There is one ice wall on sublevel 1. It is located north of the S.S. Beagle, with the water-filled section containing a pair of Skeeterskates on the other side. The wall has 4000 HP.
• Frozen Inferno - Has 1333 HP
  • There is one ice wall on sublevel 2. It is in the northwestern section, occupied by a Frosty Bulborb. The wall is towards the north, blocking access to the next sublevel entrance. It has 1333 HP.

Dandori Challenges

• Hefty Haulway - Has 1333 HP
  • There is one ice wall in this challenge. The wall is adjacent to the alternate base location, with it being slightly west. It has 1333 HP.
• Strategic Freezeway - Each has 1333 HP
  • There are two ice walls in this challenge. The first wall can be found towards the northeast, blocking the alcove containing the Anxious Sprout. The second wall is located in the section below the clay bridge, with the wall being towards the west. Each wall has 1333 HP.

Trial of the Sage Leaf

• 1st Story: Bulblaxes
  • There is one ice wall found in this story. It is directly north of the base and slightly east, between the section containing the Bulborb and the section containing the Whiptongue Bulborb. The wall has 1333 HP.
• 2nd Story: Snow Problem - Each has 1333 HP
  • There are two ice walls found in this story. The first wall is directly west of the base, at the bottom of the slope leading to an Arctic Cannon Larva and a Dwarf Frosty Bulborb. The second wall can be found in the section south of the base, blocking a pile of raw materials from being collected. The wall is towards the southeast, and each wall has 1333 HP.
• Final Story: The Purple Key - Has 1333 HP
  • There is one ice wall found in this story. It is towards the southeast, at the end of the section full of Desiccated Skitter Leaves. This wall allows for the potted plant and the Startle Spore to be ignored, and the snowball from the Arctic Cannon Larva will hit the bottom of this wall. It has 2667 HP.
