The Trap Lid is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is actually a metal button.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Seafloor Resort

There is a Trap Lid completely submerged in a corner near the center of sublevel 2 of the Seafloor Resort. To collect this treasure, you must throw 1 Blue Pikmin at it.

Hero's Hideaway

There is a Trap Lid hidden inside a patch of grass in the southwestern corner of the overworld. It is guarded by four Tusked Blowhogs, which should be defeated before attempting to collect it. To collect this treasure, you must throw 1 Pikmin at it.

Cavern for a King

See also: Baldy Long Legs#Strategy.

There are 10 Trap Lids inside of the Baldy Long Legs roaming around the center of sublevel 15 of the Cavern for a King. To collect them, you must first defeat the Baldy Long Legs, then throw 1 Blue Pikmin or Winged Pikmin at each treasure, or 1 Pikmin if it happens to land outside of the water or on frozen water.

Notes

Schnauz's notes

What you see here is a cover used to disguise a pit or trap, probably as a way to catch small animals. The people of this planet hunted in groups and used their cunning to develop this system. Another proud example of civilization and its infinite wisdom!

Olimar's notes

I've found that this planet is riddled with underground caverns and passageways. I love to explore this place, but it feels like I'm in constant danger of falling into a hole. This lid must have been used to warn previous inhabitants of nearby pitfalls.

Louie's notes

I think this might be money. Hopefully I'll be able to collect some more.
