 There is another glitch that can be used to your advantage. If the bridge that leads to the Massage Machine has not been built yet, lead the Progg behind the unbuilt bridge and then run away. The Progg will be stuck by the bridge, and will endlessly turn around in circles. You can then bring 100 Blue Pikmin out and attack the Smoky Progg.
+Another alternative to all of these listed above, would be to get 100 Blue Pikmin and swarm the egg until it reaches no health, causing it to leave the gold pearl and die. Although it may be the easy way out, it is a good option if you are not too good, as you can keep your pikmin safe and sprout 100 more.
-There is a way to kill it, all you have to do is have some blues and then get all your reds (if you can). Now hurt the egg until its health is about half-way. Once you do that, run back to base, put your blues in their onion, then fight them smoky progg with your reds. While it's roaring under an onion attack it. You should make sure no pikmin are planted, the smoky progg can roar and it will uproot pikmin then it will kill them. Avoid the darkness behind him it will kill your pikmin. Once it dies it will leave a gold pearl worth 100 pikmin.
