The Mechanical Harp (Windmills) is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a music box that, when carried or interacted with in the Treasure Catalog, plays the Song of Storms from the The Legend of Zelda series. Underneath its bottom is an engraving that reads "H13.001026", which stands for Heisei 13 October 26, the release date for Pikmin using the Japanese era calendar scheme, which corresponds to October 26 2001 in the Gregorian calendar.

Collecting the treasure

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

The Mechanical Harp is on a stool in the northwestern corner of the Hero's Hideaway. To collect it, you must reverse the airstreams via the button on the kitchen table nearby, then take the fan on the table which will blow you over to the stool. Then, throw 7 Pikmin at it. It is recommended that you carry this treasure with Winged Pikmin, as the great height from its initial location can make any other Pikmin fall, halting the progress and leaving them vulnerable to any nearby enemies.

Notes

Schnauz's notes

To feel the excitement of a grand adventure, all you need to do is play this device! It seems to sing of heroic tales and captured princesses... I hope one day I'm able to sell these rare treasures to a hero as valiant as these dulcet tones.

Olimar's notes

My son is always playing some sort of adventure game. He becomes the hero, defeats his archnemesis, and saves the day at last... I admire heroic figures like that, but if given a choice, I'd choose my own life again and again.

Louie's notes

This song is positively invigorating! I can't stop listening to it.

Trivia

  • Schnauz's and Olimar's notes are fairly direct references to The Legend of Zelda series with Olimar even noting his son's video game as The Legend of Zelda is in fact a video game.
