Sizzling floor

Sizzling floors are obstacles in Pikmin 4. They are circular patches of red-hot ground that will burn all Pikmin except for Red Pikmin and Glow Pikmin. They also have one or more raised portions in the center of the patch that are visibly on fire, and these parts can be attacked by fire-resistant Pikmin types. Some patches instead have fiery enemies that supply the heat. Once the health of all raised portions or all fiery enemies has been depleted, the sizzling floor will be extinguished, allowing other Pikmin types to cross it.

• Aquiferous Summit sublevel 2: Two patches, each with a single raised portion.
• Sightless Passage sublevel 1: two patches, each with a Pyroclasmic Slooch and one of the two patches containing a buried Heat Sensor.
• Below-Grade Discotheque sublevel 4: Two patches, one featuring two Pyroclasmic Slooches, 5 wild Red Pikmin, and an unbuilt Clay Valve. The other features two Fiery Blowhogs, and an inactive Sprinkler that must be turned on with the Clay Valve to extinguish the floor.
• Kingdom of Beasts sublevel 1: three patches, 2 with one raised portion and 1 with three raised portions.
• Kingdom of Beasts sublevel 4: one patch with 2 raised portions blocking the exit hole.
• Frozen Inferno sublevel 1: two patches, 1 with two Pyroclasmic Slooches and 1 with a Fiery Bulblax.
• Hotshock Canyon: 2 patches, one with one raised portion and one with a Pyroclasmic Slooch.
