The Venom Dweevil is an enemy in Pikmin 4. It is a green dweevil that sprays poisonous gas when attacked. Therefore, the player should fight these creatures using White Pikmin or Glow Pikmin.
The Venom Dweevil greatly resembles the Munge Dweevil in both appearance and behaviour, except that it is turquoise instead of purple.
Behavior
Venom Dweevils will pick up any stray objects they can lift, making it necessary to defeat them in order to obtain certain treasures. The toxic cloud they create is deadly to most types of Pikmin, requiring the player to whistle back any non-White Pikmin caught in the poisonous gas. However, they are not particularly tenacious and only emit venom if the player throws Pikmin at them.

Strategy
The following article or section contains guides. |
White Pikmin are resistant to the Venom Dweevil's attacks, so they are able to attack the Dweevil to remove their carried object without succumbing to poison. However, due to the scarcity of White Pikmin, it is also ideal to freeze the Venom Dweevil using Ice Pikmin, and then overwhelm them with a large squad of Pikmin.
