Himeagea mandibulosa

Sheargrubs are small, grub-like enemies in both Pikmin and Pikmin 2. They live underground, though surface when they feel vibrations from approaching prey.

Overview

Sheargrubs come in two different colors: pink and purple. Pink Sheargrubs are female, while purple Sheargrubs are male. Female Sheargrubs do not have any mandibles, because of this they are incapable of attacking Olimar and the Pikmin. Male Sheargrubs, however, are exactly the opposite. They have mandibles and will jump onto their prey and tear them apart.
