In ''[[Pikmin (series)|Pikmin]]'' they are relatively easy to kill, throwing is inefficient because after a while of having [[Pikmin (Species)|Pikmin]] on them they will buck and fling the Pikmin off. Swarming the front of the beast is best, make sure you use Reds though because staight after bucking it shoots flames. After being bucked off your Pikmin will get up and attack the Blowhog. All you do is just stand and watch. One problem is that they often fling Pikmin off into water or off the map, but calling them back with a whistle will save them.

The Fiery Blowhog is a relative of the Watery Blowhog. The Fiery Blowhog has a red snout and shoots fire. Fiery Blowhogs are common enemies in Pikmin 2 but are only found in The Forest Navel in Pikmin. When provoked by Pikmin, Fiery Blowhogs will buck and shoot fire. In Pikmin, it can be extremely difficult to save burning Pikmin, but blowing the whistle within the area of the Blowhog's attack will ensure that any Pikmin caught in the flames will instantly be extinguished.

They also have lightly coloured segments that players can't see in the game, but can be seen on a photo.

Killing Strategy

In Pikmin they are relatively easy to kill, throwing is inefficient because after a while of having Pikmin on them they will buck and fling the Pikmin off. Swarming the front of the beast is best, make sure you use Red Pikmin though because staight after bucking it shoots flames. After being bucked off your Pikmin will get up and attack the Blowhog. All you do is just stand and watch. One problem is that they often fling Pikmin off into water or off the map, but calling them back with a whistle will save them.

In Pikmin 2, simply tossing purples onto their backs will stun and kill them very quickly.
