Floating platforms are a tool found in Pikmin 4. They take the form of small quadcopter drones with flat square platforms on top, allowing the player and their Pikmin to ride on them. Often times these platforms will be constantly moving around a set path, usually back and forth between two locations, but some floating platforms remain hovering in place.
