The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin 4.

The tablet is a multi-functional device used by the Rescue Corps. It helps the player's character navigate PNF-404 in Pikmin 4, much like the KopPad in Pikmin 3. Olimar recalls using a similar tablet in his Shipwreck Tale, albeit without the ID Badges app. Regardless of game mode, the tablet can be accessed by pressing the the - Button on the Switch button. The Tablet comes with 4 apps straight away; Radar Map, Missions, ID Badges and History and Stats

Main article: Radar.

The Radar Map is the default app on the tablet that allows the player to view the area from above, much like in previous Pikmin games.

Status Report

The Status Report app keeps track of the Pikmin totals and other relevant details in the current area. It shows the total count of all Pikmin types currently available, how many were grown or lost that day, the progress of the current area (by percentage), and any other recent developments (such as rescues made, Sparklium found, and raw materials collected).

Unlocks on day 2.

Missions

Main article: Mission (Pikmin 4).

The Missions app catalogs the player's current objectives. These are kept in two different menus: Main Missions and Side Missions. At any time, the player can choose to pin (or clear a pin) on any mission. This will make it appear in the bottom left corner at all time during gameplay.

Unlocked when Collin gives the player the Tablet.

ID Badges

The ID Badges app catalogs the ID badges of any Rescue Corps members, castaways, and/or leaflings found on PNF-404. While each are unlocked once that person has been rescued, characters who are confirmed to be stranded are preemptively listed with vacant slots, such as the missing Rescue Corps members and Captain Olimar.

Unlocked when Collin gives the player the Tablet.

Gear and Skills

The Gear and Skills app allows the player to manage any of the Rescue Gear or Pup Skills they have acquired. The Pup Skills are only listed, while any Rescue Gear can be equipped and unequipped from this app.

Rescue Journal

Main article: Rescue Journal.

The Rescue Journal app catalogs a variety of helpful texts. These are mainly unlocked through progression and are sorted in several categories such as "Tips and Tricks" and "Shepherd Family History".

Unlocked when the player rescues Shepherd.

Voyage Log

Main article: Pikmin 4 voyage log.

The Voyage Log app is the collection of notes written and sent by Olimar and Louie. These are unlocked as they become relevant to the player and can detail the two's findings on a variety of topics, like Pikmin behavior or environmental observations.

Unlocked when the player receives the Secure Energy Source Mission.

History and Stats

The History and Stats app keeps track of the player's progress in the story. The Summary tab has an up-to-date summary of past events, the Message Log lists the recent conversations from characters, and the Story Stats tab keeps track of the player's own statistics (such as play time, Pikmin lost, etc.).

Unlocked when Collin gives the player the Tablet.

Trivia

  • The version number seen at the bottom of the tablet screen when installing an app (Ver. 20.0.1) is a reference to the release date of Pikmin (October 26th, 2001). On Olimar's tablet, the version is 10.2.6.
