This magnificent specimen has the brightest gold coloration and the greatest
number of lateral spots of any member in the amphituber family. The species
seems to have lost some swimming proficiency with the evolutionary adaptation
that granted it greater jumping ability. The amphituber inhabits aquatic
shallows and shows an instinctive drive to jump upon and squash smaller
creatures.

A Yellow Wollywog.

Yellow Wollywog

Amphhicaris frodenum

Yellow Wollywogs are the most common thing one may think of when they hear the term 'amphituber' or 'wollywog' since it has evolved in a natural state unlike its cave cousin, the ('gray') Wollywog. They live near most freshwater and non-cavelike bodies of water, though not always true. For an unknown reason, they jump into the air and try to crush your Pikmin. They somtimes do an odd glitch when they jump. It is best if you avoid the jumps in any case, and get behind and throw your Pikmin. Call your Pikmin when they fall or they will scatter due to the force of the Wollywog's impact. Repeat until this creature is finished, it would be best if you always got rid of these since they can be a big problem for passing Pikmin. Purples actually work well as long as the creature is not in the water.

How to Kill

Pikmin 1

Like with the standard Wollywog, swarm it and pin it down while retreating if it gets airborne.

Pikmin 2

Pikmin

Again, like the standard Wollywog, throw Pikmin onto its back and retreat if it jumps. Or, if available, get Purple Pikmin and throw them at it. This will work while it is not in the water.

Captain

Punch it until it is about to jump up. Be sure to run early enough, as standing next to it will knock you down on the ground, thus making you vulnerable to further attacks.
