Special Decor Pikmin

Special Decor Pikmin are Decor Pikmin in Pikmin Bloom that are obtained through events or other specific actions, rather than the regular method of raising a Pikmin's friendship to 4 hearts. They are signified with the Special Decor icon, and can only be obtained by growing a Huge Seedling or a Gold Seedling.

This Decor Pikmin wears a replica of Mario's signature red cap, with a keyring attached to the end.

• A Huge Seedling for this Decor Pikmin can be obtained when the player links their Nintendo Account to the app. The seedling comes from Kyoto, Japan, specifically from Nintendo's headquarters, and the location is marked as "near Nintendo". This Decor Pikmin will always be a Blue Pikmin.

• From September 29^th, 2022 to October 17^th, 2023, Gold Seedlings for this Decor Pikmin could be obtained from Special Spots at Nintendo's flagship stores in Japan and New York City.

Lunar New Year Ornament

These Decor Pikmin wear ornaments with Chinese characters written on them, with a unique design for each type of Pikmin. There are two colors of ornaments, colored red and gold, with 14 total Decor Pikmin available. The two colors of ornaments were split into different "Lunar New Year Ornament: Red" and "Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold" categories on January 27^th, 2024. Before they were split, all ornaments appeared under one "Lunar New Year Ornament" category.

These Decor Pikmin wear red ornaments with a gold 福 character, which signifies "good luck" or "good fortune".

• From February 1^st to February 11^th, 2022, during the 2022 Lunar New Year Event, Red, Yellow, and Blue Decor Pikmin of this type were available for the first time. They could be obtained from Huge Seedlings marked with the Special Decor icon, which were discovered while walking. Only one Huge Seedling for the event could be held at a time, but once it was plucked, another event Huge Seedling for the event could be discovered.

• From January 21^st to February 5^th, 2023, during the 2023 Lunar New Year Event, Red, Yellow, and Blue Decor Pikmin of this type were available. They could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned from a set of "Easy" limited time missions. These missions could be cleared alongside the event's "Slightly Harder" missions for Decor Pikmin with gold ornaments.

• From February 1^st to February 25^th, 2024, during the 2024 Lunar New Year Event, all types of these Decor Pikmin were available. This event introduced Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Decor Pikmin of this type. All 7 Decor Pikmin types could be obtained from Huge and Gold Seedlings, which could be earned by clearing Event Challenge missions and from inviting friends.

Lunar New Year Ornament: Gold

Red, Yellow, and Blue Decor Pikmin wear gold ornaments with a red 財 character, which signifies "wealth" or "fortune". Interestingly, although the color of the ornaments is gold for Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Pikmin, the character is the same as the red ornaments.

• From January 21^st to February 5^th, 2023, during the 2023 Lunar New Year Event, Red, Yellow, and Blue Decor Pikmin of this type were available for the first time. They could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned from a set of "Slightly Harder" limited time missions. These missions could be cleared alongside the event's "Easy" missions for Decor Pikmin with red ornaments.

• From February 1^st to February 25^th, 2024, during the 2024 Lunar New Year Event, all types of these Decor Pikmin were available. This event introduced Purple, White, Rock, and Winged Decor Pikmin of this type. All 7 Decor Pikmin types could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned from a set of limited time missions to collect Red Envelopes.

Chess Piece

These Decor Pikmin wear chess pieces on their head. Each Pikmin has a different chess piece, with both black and white chess pieces available.

• From July 18^th to July 31^st, 2022, during the 2022 Chess Piece Decor Pikmin Event, Yellow, Blue, Purple, and White Decor Pikmin of this type were available for the first time. Yellow and Purple Pikmin had black chess pieces, and Blue and White had white chess pieces. They could be obtained from Huge and Gold Seedlings. Huge Seedlings, marked with the Special Decor icon, were discovered while walking, and Gold Seedlings could be earned through the completion of weekly challenges. Only one Huge Seedling for the event could be held at a time, but once it was plucked, another event Huge Seedling for the event could be discovered.

• From November 14^th to December 11^th, 2022, the previously released Yellow, Blue, Purple, and White Chess Piece Decor Pikmin were available to obtain from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned by inviting friends.

• From June 22^nd to July 20^th, 2023, during the 2023 Chess Piece Decor Pikmin Event, all types of these Decor Pikmin were available. This event introduced Red, Rock, and Winged Pikmin of this type, and new designs for all Pikmin types, with a total of 14 Decor Pikmin available to obtain. All 14 Decor Pikmin types could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned by clearing Event Challenge missions and from inviting friends.

• From October 30^th to November 3^rd, 2024, during the Pikmin Bloom MINI WALK: Lucca Comics & Games 2024 Event, the previously released Red Chess Piece Decor Pikmin wearing a black chess piece was available. It could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned from a Special Spot. Only five total Gold Seedlings could be earned, as the Special Spot was limited to one reward per day.

• From August 15^th to August 28^th, 2022, during the 2022 Fingerboard Decor Pikmin Event, Red, Yellow, Purple, and Winged Decor Pikmin of this type were available for the first time. They could be obtained from Huge and Gold Seedlings. Huge Seedlings, marked with the Special Decor icon, were discovered while walking, and Gold Seedlings could be earned through the completion of weekly challenges and from the purchase of matching Shirts for the player's Mii. Only one Huge Seedling for the event could be held at a time, but once it was plucked, another event Huge Seedling for the event could be discovered.

• From June 1^st to June 21^st, 2023, during the 2023 Fingerboard Decor Pikmin Event, all types of these Decor Pikmin were available. This event introduced Blue, White, and Rock Pikmin of this type. • From November 20^th to November 26^th, 2023, during the 2nd Anniversary Throwback Decor Pikmin Event, all types of these Decor Pikmin were available. Flower Card

These Decor Pikmin carry hanafuda cards behind them, referred to in the game as Flower Cards, with unique designs for each type of Pikmin. There are two sets of flower cards, referred to as "Flower Card 2023" and "Flower Card 2024". Before February 14^th, 2024, "Flower Card 2023" Decor Pikmin were simply called "Flower Card".

• From September 5^th to September 25^th, 2022, during the 2022 Flower Card Decor Pikmin Event, these Decor Pikmin were available for the first time. They could be obtained from Gold Seedlings, which could be earned from a set of limited time missions and from completing weekly challenges.

• On May 22^nd, 2023, all 24 Flower Card Decor Pikmin with unique designs were separated from each other and were now treated as unique. Before this day, just one Flower Card design for each Pikmin type counted as a complete collection.

• From September 22^nd, 2023 to October 1^st, 2023, during the 2023 Flower Card Decor Pikmin Event, Red and Purple Decor Pikmin of this type were available. They could be obtained from Huge and Gold Seedlings. • On June 1^st, 2024, during the Pikmin Bloom MINI WALK: Japan-Tag Düsseldorf/NRW, a Red Decor Pikmin of this type was available. It could be obtained from a Gold Seedling earned from a Special Spot.
