The Fire-Breathing Feast (イカツタツボックリ?, lit.: "Wild Draconic Cone") is a fruit in Pikmin 3 and a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a dragon fruit. In Pikmin 3 it is found in the Garden of Hope, spat out by the Armored Mawdad when it is defeated. It takes 15 Pikmin to carry and produces two and a half bottles of juice (one and a quarter in Ultra-Spicy mode). It is also found in the Forgotten Cove and the Beastly Caverns in Mission Mode, and provides a large amount of Pokos. In Pikmin 4, it can be found in the northwestern section of the Sun-Speckled Terrace on a ledge, and later inside the Cavern for a King.

Collecting the fruit[edit]

The Fire-Breathing Feast is dropped by the Armored Mawdad when the boss is defeated. The fruit is a relatively easy fruit to retrieve, as it requires only 15 Pikmin to carry, and the path back to the landing site is simple. The two Fiery Blowhogs are the only enemies on the route back, which will interfere with the carrier Pikmin. However, if Red Pikmin are used to carry the fruit, they will not get harmed. It is recommended to send the fruit ahead of the Mawdad's corpse, as the corpse takes longer to carry than the fruit.

There is a Fire-Breathing Feast atop a large planter on the northwestern section of the map. To get to that section you will have to enter and complete the Aquiferous Summit, drop down the ledge to the east of this portion of the area, and walk along the planters until you reach it. Throw 12 Pikmin at it, or knock it down with a rush from Oatchi.

There is a Fire-Breathing Feast inside of the Empress Bulblax in the northwestern corner of sublevel 17 of the Cavern for a King. To collect this treasure, you must first defeat the Empress Bulblax and any Bulborb Larvae it produces, then throw 20 Pikmin at it.

Notes

Brittany's notes

US version US version
Even though it looks like one of the monstrous beasts that this planet has so many of, this fruit has a light flavor and tons of seeds. It'll be a great food source back home...if the people don't run away from it in terror.
European version European version
Even though it looks like one of the monstrous beasts that populate this planet, this fruit has a light flavour and plenty of seeds. I'm sure it will be a great food source for Koppai...if people don't run away from it in terror.

Schnauz's notes[edit]

Despite its wild and intimidating outer appearance, this fruit looks quite fancy and refined on the inside. Tiny black specks decorate bright white flesh. All in all, it looks like an egg from the nest of some fire-breathing half-animal, half-plant beast!

Olimar's notes[edit]

Throughout my life, I've met people who seemed flashy or fancy but were actually quite down-to-earth. I've also met people who were as arrogant as they looked. The same lesson should be applied to this fruit. It looks pretty intimidating, but what's on the inside?

Louie's notes[edit]

Despite its intimidating exterior, the inside is surprisingly sweet. If you eat the red ones, you'll be in for a more colorful surprise when you relieve yourself the next day.
