A Seeding Dandelion is a Dandelion which has flowered for long enough to be pollinated and produce a batch of fresh seeds, each attached to a fluffy white tuft. The tufts catch the wind and the seeds are swept from the plant so that they may land and take root in a new location. Seeding dandelions can only be found in Pikmin 2 and are used for scenery. Bumping into one will dislodge one or two seeds, but apart from that, they have no particular function. They are one of the rarest species in Pikmin 2, appearing in only one above ground area and one challenge mode level.

“It is believed that this plant produces tufted seeds with a parachute-like arm, which allows the seeds to ride gently on the wind. This increases the distribution range of the plant considerably.”
