The Mystery Squish Fish is a treasure in Pikmin 4. It is a clear container in the shape of a fish with a red lid, containing a brown liquid, probably soy sauce. Containers like these are used in many takeout shops to distribute soy sauce.

Collecting the treasure[edit]

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Serene Shores[edit]

There is a Mystery Squish Fish buried deep underground in the circular arena at the northwest of the overworld. It is attach to a fishing rope, which must be pulled to unearth the treasure. Then, you must throw 2 Pikmin at it to collect the treasure. It's recommended to clear the enemies in the arena before doing so, which is much easier done on low tide.

Seafloor Resort[edit]

There is a Mystery Squish Fish submerged on the eastern side of the central pool of sublevel 3 of the Seafloor Resort, hidden in the grass. To collect this treasure, you must throw 2 Blue Pikmin. There are also two other Mystery Squish Fish just to the west of the this one, in the same body of water but out in the open.

Notes[edit]

Schnauz's notes[edit]

What a mysterious new species of fish! Its body is transparent, yet inside it's full of a black liquid. Give it a good squeeze, and this liquid squishes right out. The liquid is tasty, although quite salty, to be honest. Surely that must mean it comes from the sea!

Olimar's notes[edit]

It's disturbing to see a mouth that can be removed like a cap. If it were reattached improperly, would the bodily fluids simply pour right out?! I remember when a supposedly airtight container of mine once failed. My bag smelled like onion soup for a week!

Louie's notes[edit]

Just one splash of this creature's liquefied innards improves the flavor of any dish. I'll never leave home without it.
