The Fiery Young Yellow Wollywog (Fiery Young Yellow Wollyhop in the European version, ヤキコイモガエル^?, lit.: "Sizzling Young Potato Frog") is an enemy, being a fiery variation of the Young Yellow Wollywog. It acts exactly the same as the standard Young Yellow Wollywog, and looks similar, having the same small stature but with an orange body, red eyes and a magmatic top unlike its regular variant's smooth green top. It is also perpetually on fire, meaning Red Pikmin are required to defeat it. By name it is the transitional stage between its tadpole and adult stages, though those stages are never seen.

Behavior

Just like the Young Yellow Wollywog it will simply jump forward, crushing Pikmin that it lands on. When it reaches a wall, it will change directions. Because of its immunity to fire, it can travel through fire geysers safely, unlike its non-fiery counterpart.

• Common name: Fiery Young Yellow Wollywog. The "Fiery" distinguishes it from the normal Young Yellow Wollywog, the "Young" in its name confirms it is an infant version of its species (presumably the "Fiery Yellow Wollywog"), and "Yellow" distinguishing it from the regular Wollywog.
• Japanese nickname: ヤキコイモガエル^?, lit.: "Sizzling Young Potato Frog".
• Japanese name: ダルマヤキイモガエル^?, lit.: "Daruma Sizzling Potato Frog".
• Scientific name: Volcanus amphicaris frodendum. Volcanus is a play off of "volcano", eluding to its fiery exterior. This is also part of the species name for the Fireflap Bulborb and the Fiery Dwarf Bulblax. It shares its specific epithet with the Wolpole, Amphicaris frodendum.
