Also, the glitches you mentioned are interesting, but they aren't really easily reproducible, so they don't really meet our criteria for glitch articles. —Jimbo Jambo

Voyage Log
Not to make you feel uncomfortable, but I'd like you thank you for doing Olimar's voyage logs. I spent hours and days last winter doing data entry for the treasure and enemy notes, so I know how it feels. —Jimbo Jambo
- Gee... Thanks. It really is a sort of complicated process, but nonetheless, fairly easy. What you searched yourself was probably some very hard work as well. As for the journal entries themselves, I really believe Nintendo made 60, seeing as the page currently has 53, and I strongly doubt that they made a number as weird as 53 for entries. I'll try to find them all as time passes by. [SRB2]EspyoT
I think I know the ones you're missing, because I've gotten these entries before. They're listed as enemies:
- Puffstool (I got the message before, but I can only remember his drawing of it, no descriptions)
- Beady Long Legs (He points out that the center orb is the "sole weakpoint")
- Burrowing Snagret (His drawing has an arrow that shows where you have to attack)
- Armored Cannon Beetle (He talks about clogging up the airhole)
- Wollwog ("There is a troublesome creature by the water...")
- Candypop Bud (Talks about how it changes Pikmin colors.)
- Goolix (The picture shows Pikmin staring at the Goolix with a question mark. This might be #60 and the last entry.)
- Breadbug (this one's not a definite. But if it is, then this is #61...) Portal-Kombat
- Thanks! I've been trying for ever to get those entries, but it's just very hard... I won't give up until I find all 60, though. I added the ones that were missing to my user page. Thanks again. [SRB2]EspyoT
I think this is how I got entries for the enemies while playing Pikmin:
- Do a little bit of damage
- Take a little bit of damage
- Maybe lose a couple Pikmin
- Go to Sunset (Pretty much ensures that nothing else will happen that day to give you a different entry)
This isn't 100% accurate, but it's probably the best way to get the entries. Good luck! (Note: I think that the Breadbug one IS REAL. The picture shows the Breadbug fighting over a pellet with a Pikmin.)Portal-Kombat
OK, I'm really gonna need some help if I am to complete the Voyage Log.
- Burrowing Snagret: I tried
- Getting hit by hit
- Throw a Pikmin at it
- Swarm it
- Let some Pikmin get eaten
- Swarmed it when it's head got stuck (maybe Olimar points out that it's head gets stuck at times).
And still haven't got it! What else can I do? Any suggestions?
- Candypop bud: Not much to do, but I tried:
- Throwing 10 Pikmin of the same color, and plucking them
- Throwing 10 Pikmin of different colors and plucking them
- Throwing so many Pikmin, it wilted
- Running around it pressing A :S
No result... I really don't think there's any other thing I can do with it... Suggestions?
- For the other enemies, I'm going to have to try repassing the game, and examining them before I kill them (Beady Long Legs, Puffstool, Breadbug). [SRB2]EspyoT
Here's an idea for the voyage log. A=Go to final trial/B=Grab 100 mixed Pikmin with Leaf, Bud, and Flower Pikmin. Rapidly throw your Pikmin into the Candypop Buds.Once all 100 are in, Pluck them all and end the day. Also here is an image showing the Breadbug one is real https://www.google.com/search?q=Pikmin+enemy+voyage+log&safe=active&espv=2&biw=1366&bih=643&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwi6sp6th6fKAhXCrD4KHaVzADAQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=-LCEfIG0OLnEwM%3A click the first image for some voyage log images.
Also I have definenetly gotten the Goolix. I only remember the Pic which is the same as above.
Olimar's Monologues
You probably already know this, but if Olimar takes enough damage so that he almost dies you'll get a monologue. Interestingly enough this stops you from dying from an attack that would have normally killed you! Portal-Kombat
- Yeah, I knew. Just today I was getting hurt by a fire geyser, and died >_> I then remembered that there is this monologue... I tried later to recall it, but I was to busy trying to complete in 10 days, so I can copy the file to another slot, and on that slot, spend the rest of the 20 days always examining an enemy to see if I can get it's voyage log entry. [SRB2]EspyoT
Want me to make you a great sig?Peanut64
- !Cough!advertising! Huh? Oh. Hmm... That's OK. I don't really pay much attention to the sig anyway. [SRB2]EspyoT
Strange pikmin sounds
Okay, i had a weird event like yours. it was like:
- I started the game, the pikmin went "little"
- I started The game, the pikmin went "hmmm"
- I started the game, a weird noise came. i think it's an emperor bulblax.
– Redpikminflamethrower
- Yep, pretty darn strange... As far as I remember, it happened to me 4 times, and all of them where "Whoooooa!" {EspyoT}
Indeed. many times. (A Joke on "Indeed, many flab." a said by prezintenden) – Redpikminflamethrower
- Actually it was Green on my talk page. A WET FLAG IS AN UNHAPPY FLAG!!! I'm ~LonelyTurret~ And I approve this message.

Nintendo Intro
I also heard the "Whooooo" once instead of the classical "Pikmin" in the beginning of the game. It should be random, and with a very low probability of hearing other sounds. Just like in Double Dash the Lakitu was holding different objects. Snake boss14 File:Hairybulborb.jpg 23:18, 8 May 2009 (UTC)

No harm no foul, but in the future if you'd like to move an article, please use the "Move" button at the top. That way the history of the article moves along with it, so reference is much easier. —Jimbo Jambo 19:34, 12 October 2010 (EDT)
- Ah, yeah, no problem. It may be that there were some older edits the wiki didn't want to undo. In that case, I'd bring it up on the talk page so an admin can move it. —Jimbo Jambo 01:18, 13 October 2010 (EDT)

- I won't bother porting those edits 'cause it's all qualitative stuff.
- Yeah, I understood the reason for that edit to easter eggs, but it just seems out of place on an article to address the editor. GP

Do you need a certain machine/system to hack a game? I'm just asking because I (for some reason) want to hack Pikmin 2 to change some palettes on some stuff.
Glitches
By the way, you mentioned a couple weeks ago on the glitches talk page that a couple of them had cases of "the you" after I edited them all to make them say you instead of the player. Can you tell me which glitches have "the you" so I ca fix them?Los Plagas (talk) 15:36, 5 January 2013 (EST)

Follow Up on Japanese Cave Names
I've been meaning to link you to this for a day or 2, I made a very hacky BMG extractor that hopefully works with every game. Here is a link to the script, it's python (it should work with either version) bmg2txt.py file.bmg (-v -e -c) - the v is for verbose, it doesn't do much right now but it does print some more debug stuff, -e is for extract, and -c is for printing the 1A system arguments/commands, and order of those 3 arguments doesn't matter.
Here is the english version, here is the english version with commands, here is the japanese version, and here is the japanese version with commands. Haven't gotten my hands on a PAL version tho, but it should work just as well since all I'm doing is seperating the entire DAT1 section into individual bytes, parsing them to either remove, or format the output of commands, and do some newline checks. It's quick and hacky but it works. I can attempt to see what differences there may be/translate it based on english since they're probably almost exactly the same, if you don't want to. Also, you're on your own to figure out what the commands are :P ~NWPlayer123 5:14PM 5/31/2014 (MST)
- Wait, I'm confused now... Exactly what are the BMG files? I don't remember coming across any BMGs when I messed about the Pikmin 2 ISO... — {EspyoT} 06:45, 1 June 2014 (EDT)
- BMG files are what Nintendo uses to archive and sort text, it's used in games like SMG1, MKW, this, and IDK what else. I found it in pikmin2 > message > mesRes_engUS.szs/whatever other language is there. There's also another one in that folder already extracted but I haven't looked at it yet. You can find a link here for more info on the other sections and such. If you really cared about the internal names from the messages I could try to set up a full extraction, but for now, that's all the visible text data in it. ~NWPlayer123 10:29AM 6/1/2014 (MST)
- Ah, of course. Last time I checked the message folder was ages ago, and I could've sworn they were all one huge text file (pretty sure I opened the .bmg files with Notepad++). I was thinking of making a script to somehow sort the mess inside, but now I don't need to. I don't think the message IDs are really needed, as long as they're in the same order for each language. Thanks for this, I'll take a look at it soon! — {EspyoT} 12:37, 1 June 2014 (EDT)

Please Read, It's Important
Hey Espyo. I see you're a big editor on Pikipedia, and I'm pretty sure you're an admin here, if I'm correct. I used to be a former editor on this wiki, but I soon moved to the Pikmin Wikia. You've probably heard of us. Anyways, we can't help but notice that you seem to be the only active editor on this wiki. And that's not all. The things you've been doing for this wiki are things that we at the Pikmin Wikia are unable to get at the moment, such as Ripping textures for all Pikipedia Icons, or make HD maps of the areas in Pikmin. Now, I'm here, on behalf of all Admins on the Pikmin Wikia, and all the other big editors, such as myself, to ask you of something. I would like you to meet the Admins of our Wiki, so we could have a quick discussion, regarding the future of our two wikis. Our admins have requested to talk with you, since you seem to be the most active editor on this wiki. This isn't a direct message for you to come join our wiki, and you might not even want to join our wiki. However, if you feel comfortable, the admins request that they could at least get to meet you and talk things out. The conversation will most likely happen on Skype, so if you agree to sit down and talk to our Admins, I will inform you of all Skype details needed. If Skype can't work out, we will surely find an alternative. Thanks for reading this message (I know it's pretty long), because I know you're a busy guy. I hope to hear back from you soon.
-AeroBlaze777, On behalf of the Admins of Pikmin Wiki
- I accept to discuss on Skype, although IRC could work even better. In fact, I've been wanting to talk this out for years now, and I'm glad that this is something the admins of wikia want as well. (One small thing: I'm not an admin just yet, though there has been private talk to move me to one; we just never got around to it.) — {EspyoT} 15:32, 17 July 2014 (EDT)
- Great! If you have a Skype, can you inform me of your Skype Details?
- Ok, one of our admins has friended you. His name should be displayed as Zooty~Kun or something like that, and I think his username would be JPMRocks or something. If you get a request from anyone like that, do know that it is one of Pikmin Wiki's Admins. -AeroBlaze777
- The username should be jpmrocks7, but the displayed name should be Zooty-Kun (Kawaii). -AeroBlaze777
Missing stuff???
I've noticed a couple of things that didn't get merged at all, especially things regarding the Blonde Imposter from Pikmin 3. Like, that fruit's whole page didn't make it here. There's probably some more stuff that never made it here, too. Talk 19:18, 25 September 2014 (EDT)
- At first I thought you meant stuff that I didn't merge when I manually combined two pages; I explain why here. But yeah, I see what you mean. In the case of Blonde Imposter, it's here – I (European) have checked with PikFan (American), and no version of the game calls it Imposter. An imposter is a tax, an impostor is a fraud. So I changed the article's name; we didn't have an article on the golden kiwi in Pikipedia. As for other pages, they're probably in other places, with different names. But if you see any other page that you really can't find, let me know, and if it really doesn't exist, GP can import it. It's weird though, because everything should've gotten transfered over... — {EspyoT} 04:35, 26 September 2014 (EDT)
Pikmin Fanon clean-up
I'm not sure how often you check the Fanon wiki, so I figured I'd drop by and let you know that we're planning a wiki clean-up that's actually going to be gone through with. We wanted your opinion on our current plan of action before we begin, though. Dry Paratroopa
- Hmm, I did talk to PikFan some. I don't really have time to check on what's up, but I'll talk to PikFan when I can. — {EspyoT} 04:33, 9 October 2014 (EDT)
Strategies
'Ey, Espyo. Pertaining to your comment saying that it's okay to use "you" in battle strategies, I'd like to clarify something that is important to Pikipedia as a whole in order to be as professional as possible. Your use of second person was not inappropriate, and you did a nice job catching it, but when we think of battle strategies for enemies, the sections can be broken up. There is generally an objective, informative part, that explains facts to keep in mind while fighting that apply to anyone, and a subjective part, which describes specific strategies that may work for some but not others. The objective part should use third person, as it is meant to be a formal statement(s), while the subjective should contain second person, as it makes it easier to follow for readers.
I plan to reorganize the battle strategy sections in the fashion I just describe, likely breaking them up into paragraphs accordingly, and I figured it would be best to let you know, as the most active participant on Pikipedia. Feel free to give your feedback on this. Thanks in advance.
-Scittery Leaves23
- That's actually a funny coincidence! I was just talking to Greenpickle on the chatroom about how we need a consistent guideline for enemy articles. We're planning on having a section that details the creature's behavior, including its attacks (and stuff like shaking Pikmin off), in an informal, objective, and non-strategy-like fashion. Further down the article, the strategy section would refer to the player as you and contain only information useful for a player, on what to do to beat the video game enemy. I was thinking we need an information box for enemy strategy sections too, with a warning that this section is a guide, it's subjective, etc. I'll post the policy today in just a few minutes, so let me know what you think, too. I definitely understand your view, and like it, but hopefully this new article layout policy will solve all problems. — {EspyoT} 18:34, 23 November 2014 (EST)
Sounds great. Anything to help the strategy pieces; they're definitely of the most inconsistent parts on any article. I look forward to further information.

Pikmin 3 Images
Hey there Espyo,
I recently downloaded all the online-use quality promotional and character artwork for Pikmin 3 from the Nintendo UK Assets Library. But before I started uploading them en masse I thought I'd ask 1) if they're wanted or if they've already been uploaded, or 2) what categories, templates, etc you would like placed on them, or 3) if you'd rather I dropboxed them to you or another user so you can deal with them on your end. Thanks! Embyr 75 (talk) 17:10, 13 December 2014 (EST)
- Hi! We have some artwork images, but we can always use more. I'm sure that if you start uploading, the wiki should warn you about duplicates. If it does, just skip the image in question. As for categories, Category:Pikmin 3 images and Category:Concept art would be ideal. Thanks a lot for this! — {EspyoT} 17:18, 13 December 2014 (EST)
- Great, I'll get to work. If I go about doing everything all wrong, please stop me and let me know. :P
- I've never played Pikmin before last week (*community gasp*), but I just bought Pikmin 3 and now I'm obsessed. So you may see me around from time to time. ;) Embyr 75 (talk) 17:30, 13 December 2014 (EST)
So I finished uploading the first wave of artwork; I didn't get any Duplicate Image warnings, but I think there may be some identical images with massive resolution differences, and so they weren't detected. Anyways, I'll upload the rest later if that's alright. I hope you can use them! Embyr 75 (talk) 18:32, 13 December 2014 (EST)
- Excellent work! I forgot to tell you about adding a description and using the license picker on the upload form, but I didn't need to. Ever since you posted on your user page that you're from other NIWA wikis, I knew I had nothing to worry about, though. Feel free to upload the rest whenever you have time. And thanks once again! — {EspyoT} 18:44, 13 December 2014 (EST)
Hi again. So the Assets Library has somewhere in the ballpark of about 150 Pikmin 3 screenshots available for download on the website, but 1) I don't know what they're of, or what kind of quality you'd be getting, and 2) I know you have the ability to take whatever screens you want already. SO my question is: should I bother downloading them and dropboxing them to you? I honestly don't think I have the patience to upload 150 images one at a time but if you'd like them I could download and dropbox them to you, and then you can sort through the ones you want, if you're interested. Otherwise I'll stick to promo art. Embyr 75 (talk) 15:07, 16 December 2014 (EST)
- Hey. Hmm, best case scenario, they're high quality images – something like 1080p. But that honestly doesn't matter a great deal. You could try uploading just one or two, just so we can't say we don't have anything about them, but honestly, they wouldn't be very useful on the wiki. Don't waste your time. Thanks! — {EspyoT} 15:10, 16 December 2014 (EST)
Pikmin Wiki
Shouldn't that wiki be closed already? CyborgKing0 (talk) 06:21, 30 May 2015 (EDT)
- It should, but it isn't because Wikia won't let us close it. They don't care if this splits the community and their efforts. They just want money. — {EspyoT} 07:46, 30 May 2015 (EDT)
Iridescent Flint Beetle
The photos are scrambled! The photos of the Pikmin 1 beetle are in the Pikmin 2 sections, and vice versa. Shouldn't there be a gallery? 11:01, 12 June 2015 (EDT)
- It doesn't matter much. The beetle looks the same in Pikmin 1 and Pikmin 2. We should have a gallery, but we don't have enough images for one. — {EspyoT} 11:14, 12 June 2015 (EDT)
Thank you!
Thank you so much for all your help so far on the music articles Espyo! I'm not the greatest at formatting pages like this; the way you've redone it makes a lot more sense! Currently I'm working on recording the boss fight cues in Pikmin 2 so we can display the dissected music in the article and confirm what triggers what cue. Thank you again! Scruffy (talk) 17:05, 13 June 2015 (EDT)
- No, thank YOU for your incredible work on the articles so far! I absolutely adore how they ended up, and they're not even complete yet! Feel free to improve my page designs even further, of course. And good luck with the rest! Let's both keep working to make these articles excellent. Oh, and as for the boss cues, they're already detailed on the Music page. Is there something extra that's missing? — {EspyoT} 17:12, 13 June 2015 (EDT)
- Well, I read the part in the music article about the four different short themes that play for the bosses' short attacks, and that got me thinking that I could stream audio from the game, find and extract the shorter boss themes in Audacity, and then post them here. The main boss theme, the "preparing for long attack" theme, and the "boss defeated" theme are all on YouTube, but I can't seem to find a good recording of those short little stingers of music without sound effects heard over them. So I figure I could make my best effort to record them alone, and I'd make sure to be thorough about it. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Scruffy • (talk) • (contribs)
- Ah right. That would be a good idea, yes. Good luck! — {EspyoT} 08:34, 14 June 2015 (EDT)
- Okay, I've uploaded the files and I'll insert them in the article later today, hopefully. Also, I wanted to ask you about Pikmin 3's music page. There are YouTube links for a good amount of the tracks in Pikmin 3, but I found a website with a huge majority, including the small cutscene themes. The problem is, they are rips from the game, and since the sound effects cannot be turned off, you can hear sound effects in the cutscenes. I know this wiki wants only pure audio when it comes to music, so I was just wondering if I should add in the links at all when I get to Pikmin 3, or just stick to YouTube videos where there is less audio but it's clean, or a combination of the two. This is the link to the website. Scruffy (talk) 10:33, 15 June 2015 (EDT)
- Ah right. That would be a good idea, yes. Good luck! — {EspyoT} 08:34, 14 June 2015 (EDT)

Pikmin wikia stealing photos?
I've checked their edits and it looks like they took our HD Olimar photo, and maybe some Hermit Crawmad photos (i'm not sure about that one though). Is that bad? (talk) 06:13, 9 July 2015 (EDT)
- I've seen it too. It's not very bad, but looks like I'll have to give them a talking-to. — {EspyoT} 07:17, 9 July 2015 (EDT)
Pikmin 3 infobox track
Hi, sorry to bother you, but I was wondering if you could design a separate infobox class for the area tracks in Pikmin 3. I tried to design it in the sandbox, and I couldn't seem to get it to work. All it needs is the same old title and link, and then an afternoon version, a sunset version, and a "weather" version (for rain or snow). Or if you'd just like me to list these links without an infobox, just let me know. Either way, thank you very much for your help! Scruffy (talk) 08:18, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
- No problem! I changed it. Let me know if you need any more or if you'd like it organized in a different way. Chances are that if I have to change the template again, I'm radically changing the way it's designed internally, because it's a bit of a non-flexible nightmare at the moment. So if you have some track that, for instance, has a sunset version without an afternoon version, the current layout won't work. You can check out the new parameters on the documentation. If you can think of a better alternative for "precipitation", let me know. (I didn't feel like over-complicating the template even further by having it distinguish between rain and snow. Though again, if I have to change it in the future, I might as well do that too.) — {EspyoT} 08:35, 11 July 2015 (EDT)
Your typo in the Boss Beeb that has spiked balls
For the Beeb that has spiked balls, it's Greater Studded Beeb, not Greater Bladed Beeb! Why would you think that Beeb is Greater Bladed Beeb? 73.151.171.171 21:53, 8 December 2015 (EST)
- Different regions of the game call the enemy different things. We need to look into every name in detail. For now, the articles are just a big mess. — {EspyoT} 04:03, 9 December 2015 (EST)
- PAL version still calls is Greater Studded Baub. – The preceding unsigned comment was added by 73.151.171.171 • (talk) • (contribs)
Pikmin Fan engine on the Pikmin Fanon
Hey anonymous user here like your fanon engine and will you add anything soon?
Also adding to the Beeb/Baub/Studded/Bladed thingy i have all 200 trophies in nintendo land so i can get any Pikmin adventure info. Its also the only Nintendo land game i play anyway.
- Hi there. Yeah, I'm always working on the engine, so sit tight, and eventually you'll hear more news. As for Nintendo Land info, feel free to add any information you see is missing! — {EspyoT} 16:46, 8 January 2016 (EST)
Ok thanks and I can try to do the Nintendo land stuff. Also I've tried to email you like 4 time about ideas for the Pikmin Fan engine but it will not let me.
- My inbox is working fine, so I don't know. But you can post the ideas here or on the Fanon wiki, if you want. — {EspyoT} 14:09, 10 January 2016 (EST)
Ok so well here, i think you should add more ship than the hocotate one. Also a Steam user found a unused Bulborb enemy for Pikmin 3. It has a Brown face like the Whiptongue or a Snowy Bulborb and has white spots and a white back. It also has Yellow eyes. Overrall, it looks like a whiptongue based skin for the Red or Orange Bulborb.
- Remember: the engine is just that, an engine. Pikmin fans are the ones that are meant to create content for it, and this includes ships. What I do is that I include some example content with the engine so people can play around, and I chose to include the Hocotate ship, because why not. It should be easy to create any other ship, either for me or for any other person that uses the engine.
- As for the Bulborb, that is just a myth. I checked the game files along with other Pikipedia folk, and we reached the conclusion that that "white" texture is just a special texture the game uses for the lighting and such – all enemies in the game have such a texture.
Ok thanks for both those tips ok.
Louie/Drake Discovery
Didn't you discover Character D/Drake to be Louie in the games files indicating that Louie was the 4th playable character in Pikmin 3?
- Not really. All main characters in the game are called "Player", followed by a letter. PlayerA, PlayerB, and PlayerC are the three main leaders, PlayerD is Louie, and PlayerE is Olimar. It makes sense for the game to treat Louie and Olimar like regular characters because they appear as bubbles on the day selection screen, you can play as them in Mission Mode and Bingo Battle, etc. Other than that, there is absolutely no information in the game about the mysterious long-haired purple-looking fellow that fans nickname "Character D" or "Drake". — {EspyoT} 09:22, 11 January 2016 (EST)
Well i was lied to. Anyone who sees this tell DazzReviews that Character D still existed.
Pikmin Three Enemy Values
I can get enemy values I just can't edit the page
The Scornet Maestro can kill 100 Pikmin Technically at a time using Scornets. As there are 100 Scornets, there can be 100 Pikmin. Also the WaddlePuss depends on if its near water, a pit, or hazardous enemy, it can't kill any Pikmin. I also think the SkutterChuck can be 1 hit KO by any non Winged {Pikmin. once it has no crystal. 74.109.232.46 13:31, 14 January 2016 (EST)
- Oh, you can't edit it because it's a user page. But you can add the information here, and I'll add it the next time I get to it. — {EspyoT} 13:58, 11 January 2016 (EST)
.............
If you're going to complain about my edits at least do it to the edit about the entire Pikmin (Game) area you missed. Pikifan4 (talk) 12:46, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- God Man, seriously your kinda seem more like Pikminfan101 or Lonely Turret or whatever he's called know. Also may I say, i'm like a 10 year old. Pikifan4 (talk) 12:47, 9 February 2016 (EST)
Fine ill shut up. But A. I Go back and add my sig whenever possible. B. I'm not trying to be mean to anyone i'm just trying to add info about everything. C. I confused the text for the The Final Trial/Formidible Oak with the The Distant Spring/Distant Tundra. Also the Problem button is pointing out There is no image. Pikifan4 (talk) 13:09, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- I didn't say you should shut up, I said you should shape up. Sign your messages the first time around and stop forgetting. I already explained why that's such a big deal. Also, you are being mean. Look at the way you talk to me and tell me if that's being nice or not. What do you mean the problem button is pointing out that there is no image? You mean the button that says "Check for problems" at the top of the edit box? And which article is saying that there is no image? You shouldn't use that button on talk pages, since the rules and requirements for talk pages are different. — {EspyoT} 13:04, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- A. I'm sorry ok? B. I clicked the Check Problems Button and it's warning me that every page needs at least 1 image. Also it's warning me to not use you, you're, your, or he. Pikifan4 (talk) 13:09, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- And I listed the map on the Unused Content page for unused content in general. Pikifan4 (talk) 13:10, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- Just try to pay attention and be nice, and I'm sure you'll be fine, all right? The "Check for problems" button should tell you that pages need an image, since, well, they do. Articles should have an image. You can add one if you want, but you don't need to. It's just saying that they DO need a picture, but you don't need to do it if you don't plan on cleaning up the page. But like I said, ignore that button if you're on talk pages, because the rules the button checks for do not apply for talk pages. Likewise, the "you", "he", etc. are also policy rules that need to be followed on articles, but of course, not on talk pages. Also, I'm not quite sure what is it that you mean about the unused map. Can you start from the top? — {EspyoT} 13:20, 9 February 2016 (EST)
- Well, there are 9 different Unused Pikmin 1 stages on this wiki but 10 total. From what I know, there is only enough room for one Onion to land when mapped onto a certain Challenge Stage. The stage itself is very small and is just a small rectangle. There is a small section there made for testing water. I got this info from a Pikmin (game) hack by Pidi64. Thank you!
Thanks for your message. I still have some photos left about plants which are not in the Vegetation category, but I don't know their names at all. Should I upload the photos and see what we'll do with them then? – The preceding unsigned comment was added by Marty • (talk) • (contribs)
- You might as well. Eventually, other users will figure out what the names of the plants are. (Also, you can sign your messages with ~~~~.) — {EspyoT} 06:28, 24 February 2016 (EST)
Ok, I will post the photos. Marty (talk) 07:42, 24 February 2016 (EST)
My user page
How do I create a new section in my user page? thanks! TabuuandMasterCore (talk) 21:50, 29 February 2016 (EST)
- To create a new section, type
== Section name ==
, with "section name" being the name of the section, of course. Then, everything you type below that will belong to that section. — {EspyoT} 03:56, 1 March 2016 (EST)
Secret Perplexing Pool Cave
Hi Espyo, sorry I got cut off yesterday. I wanted to tell you I was able to get to that cave that only appears on day 1 in the Perplexing Pool. I did this by putting it on 3-3, the script that generates objects only on day 4, and speedrunning my way through to day 4 at the Perplexing Pool. As you surmised, it spawned just a bit farther to the side of the ship than the Red Onion; certainly placed there precisely for easy access. It was a cave with a flag already out of it that called itself the Emergence Cave, even though I hadn't completed the real Emergence Cave before it. I entered with my army and it turns out to be the test challenge cave covered by the file caveinfo.txt
in Mukki's "caveinfo" folder. On The Cutting Room Floor, the layouts are covered on this page. It's a 34-sublevel cave whose name ("Emergence Cave") has the red-and-orange-squares Challenge Mode effect on it. Except for that it acts like any other story cave. I got to Sublevel 5 and then it crashed trying to load 6. But it's certainly interesting that they didn't bother to take that test out of the Perplexing Pool entirely. Scruffy (talk) 20:04, 9 March 2016 (EST)
- Oh wow. That's incredible! That's some TCRF material right there. Once I make the plotter more stable, I'll create lists upon lists of objects, and we'll be able to find a lot of unused things like this. Can't wait! What really strikes me as odd is the orange letter effect from Challenge Mode. I can't for the life of me understand why they'd do it like that. Are you sure your Dolphin isn't messing up again? — {EspyoT} 03:58, 10 March 2016 (EST)
Shouldn't the true maximum number of carriers (Pikmin 3) be changed? (or new section)
Hi, this is maybe a strange question, but I'll take the example of the Swooping Snitchbug. It is said that only 8 Pikmin can carry it at the same time, which is true. However, by dismissing a group of both non-Winged and Winged Pikmin, this maximum can go up to 11 (maybe 12, but I only managed to get 11 Pikmin on it). It is true that the non-winged Pikmin will fall off after a few seconds, but while they are in the air, they still count as the number of Pikmin carrying the enemy and so the carrying speed is increased... until they fall off. That's why I wonder if we should change the true maximum number of carriers, or add a new section (like "temporary maximum number of carriers"). Sorry if it's difficult to understand. Bye. Marty (talk) 09:47, 12 March 2016 (EST)
- Oh, I completely understand what you mean! So you're saying that the carrying speed does change? Did you confirm it, or is that just a theory you have? Either way, yes, I think we should change the format, but what to...? I'll try to think of something for the next few days. Thanks for letting me know! — {EspyoT} 09:55, 12 March 2016 (EST)
- I tested and it seems the speed value changes : I'll test your idea (with Whites and Wingeds) so we'll be sure of this. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8gnmeFqpfM&feature=youtu.be
- I tried with White and Winged Pikmin in Thirsty Desert Remix and one can really see the difference : I'm uploading a video on this and it's really interesting... maybe it's a glitch? Anyway, it's strange. Thanks otherwise.
- The difference is more noticeable with White Pikmin : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XAFx5BsP9BU
I also tried with a Cupid Grenade and up to 4 Pikmin can carry it at once, so the same number of Winged and grounded Pikmin can carry an item at once... Marty (talk) 10:31, 12 March 2016 (EST)
Still not sure how to do it yet, but I'll write down a potential solution here so I don't forget: — {EspyoT} 08:57, 20 March 2016 (EDT)
- "There are 40 Pikmin slots (20 grounded, 20 Winged). Up to 29 Pikmin can carry the object stably (20 grounded, 9 Winged). If there are more than 9 Winged Pikmin, any grounded Pikmin will fall off after some seconds, although there can temporarily be 40 carriers this way. Read more here."
Leaders and their preferences (throws)
Before I forget, what do you think about that : http://www.pikminwiki.com/Pikmin_3_voyage_log#Misc._16 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N4a8o3HqFRw
Charlie says he prefer to throw Alph over Brittany. In game, if one is Charlie and holds Brittany, they can swap her for Alph... but if they hold Alph first, they can't swap him for Brittany... So maybe it's possible to see who each leader prefers to throw? I would like to know whether you think it's a coincidence or something the developers wanted. Marty (talk) 15:27, 12 March 2016 (EST)
Names in different languages for unidentified vegetation
Hello. I would like to know if it's possible to add the "Names in different languages" section in the Vegetation article, more precisely in the unidentified vegetation part. Thanks. Marty (talk) 08:19, 19 March 2016 (EDT)
This may be off-topic.
Hello, I frequent Nookipedia and all the pages is marked as "502 Bad Gateway" even my userpage: TabuuandRover is marked as that. Can you contact the NIWA about that problem? I don't know if it's only me or everybody. TabuuandMasterCore (talk) 17:41, 10 April 2016 (EDT)

Licensing
Hello! I have taken photos I could use in the Vegetation article. I'd like to upload them. However, I don't know what to choose in "Licensing" since these photos are from me. Should I leave "Unlicensed" or else? Thanks. Marty (talk) 10:23, 14 April 2016 (EDT)
- Oh, so you mean photos you took yourself of real world plants? If so, it's up to you. There are a lot of licenses, but here's a quick rundown: {{fairuse}} means you own the full rights to the image, and you give Pikipedia your permission to use it. {{free}} means you allow anybody to use this image, but they must use it in with certain rules. With this, you can choose a more specific license, with examples being found on the template's page. Finally, you have {{PD}}, which means anybody in the world can use it anywhere at any time, for any purpose, crediting you or not, and you don't care whatsoever. — {EspyoT} 10:51, 14 April 2016 (EDT)
A question.
Where do you upload pictures? TabuuandMasterCore (talk) 19:28, 18 April 2016 (EDT)
- On the left side of the page, below the search bar says "tools", check for "upload file". Nvortex (talk) 20:20, 18 April 2016 (EDT)
A small annoyance( and another thing)
Can you make it so there`s a link to your talk page on your page? Also, I finished my Pikmin 2 Whatodo, can you check that? :)-Yoshi2016
- Well, most user pages don't have a link to the talk page, since you can just click the "Talk" button at the top.
But I can add a link anywayActually, I've already got a link up. It's under the word "ask" on the first sentence. I can't read your guide just yet, but I'll try to take care of it in the next few days. — {EspyoT} 16:15, 20 April 2016 (EDT) - I took a look at the guide. It seems good enough for a user guide, but you should probably explain better what enemies the player should and shouldn't bring back to the Onion. You tell the player to kill a lot of enemies, but if they're not brought back, it's hard to grow Pikmin. Also, you have some glitches, like article links that only have the "[[" part but not the "]]" one. — {EspyoT} 10:22, 24 April 2016 (EDT)
Username change.

Can you contact Porplemontage?
Can you contact Porplemontage? He's the developer of the website, and I left a message on his Talk Page, and I doubt without anybody contacting him, he won't respond because he's Semi-Inactive. I know he has a Twitter account but I don't have one he has an Email, but I don't know. A question.
How do you add pictures to Signatures? TabuuandPeach (talk) 22:06, 26 April 2016 (EDT)
- At the top-right corner of any wiki page, you can find a link to your preferences, next to your user name. On the signature box, just add an image like you would in an article. Please avoid making the image too big or obnoxious. You can find more about images here: Help:Files. — {EspyoT} 03:59, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
Before I get started, do I copy the File name? TabuuandPeach (talk) 11:01, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
- Well yeah, you call the image using its filename. Remember that this has to be an image on the wiki itself, not on your computer. To get an idea, you can check other people's signatures by editing a talk page and seeing what the code is. — {EspyoT} 12:44, 27 April 2016 (EDT)
Thanks
Thanks for getting an image for my signature, I finally done it!!! TabuuandPeach 21:20, 5 May 2016 (EDT)
2 Inappropriate edit revisions from a blocked user
The user: HarcoreGamer has swear words that young children shouldn't see for both of his edit summaries. So can you hide them? TabuuandPeach 17:34, 6 May 2016 (EDT)
- Done, but for the record, this wouldn't even matter. Those edits were made in 2014, and young children barely know how to use the wiki's more complex features, much less dig into the edits made several months ago. — {EspyoT} 17:45, 6 May 2016 (EDT)
How many Personal images do I have?
How many personal images do I have? If I have 5 Can I just have 1 more, for a total of 6 Personal Images. TabuuandPeach 13:59, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- Looks like you have 4 at the moment. If you have a good reason, you can probably get 6 with no problem, but remember: the wiki is not an image hosting site. If you aren't really going to use the images, there's no need to keep them. — {EspyoT} 14:20, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
Can't find the copyright for a personal image from the Commons
Im trying to have an image from Wikimedia Commons, and can't find the Personal Image copyright, do I select the copyright, upload it, then change the copyright manually? I haven't done that yet because of that. TabuuandPeach 16:47, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- I'm not quite sure I'm following. Are you saying that the Wikimedia Commons image you're trying to upload here was made by a Wikimedia Commons user? If so, they should have a license there that's like Creative Commons, or Public Domain, or something. Or does it specifically say it's using a different license? If it's different, I guess you should leave it unlicensed, and I'll try to fix it in the future somehow, but if not, it should be simple to choose what the license here is. — {EspyoT} 17:10, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
It's not related to the Pikmin Series. TabuuandPeach 17:18, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- I still don't understand what you mean... Can you explain your case a bit better, maybe reword it? — {EspyoT} 17:28, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
In other words I can't find the Personal Image Copyright. TabuuandPeach 17:59, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- Well, it depends on what the image is. There's no such thing as a "personal image" copyright. If a person made the image, and it is their own, and they did not give a license, it's assumed fair use. Otherwise, it should say what the license is on the Mediawiki Commons page. — {EspyoT} 18:08, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
Well then, how do I make a Image a Personal Image? (the template.) TabuuandPeach 19:45, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- Define "Persona Image". Do you mean a user image, some of the ones you uploaded already? I'm assuming your upload page is using the special upload script (check if your page looks like the one in the image). If so, simply pick "user image" from the type, and on the license, choose that you don't know. — {EspyoT} 19:52, 7 May 2016 (EDT)
- Hi TabuuandPeach. I wondered if you were looking for this : "This image is being allowed on the wiki as a user's image, for use on that user's or other users' userpages or signature. If this image is currently not being used on any page, it qualifies for deletion." If so, you can use {user image} (add { and } on each side ) ) Marty (talk) 20:03, 7 May 2016 (EDT)

Super-toad 65 11:02, 11 May 2016 (EDT)

I wanted this File: [2] to be moved File:Princess Peach Being held hostage by Tabuu.png, it won't let me. I made a mistake while creating the File Name. TabuuandPeach 16:49, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
- Of course it won't. The file is in the JPG format, and you're trying to rename it to a name that implies a PNG format. MediaWiki doesn't support that. Images like that one should remain in JPG format anyway, so there's no need to convert it to PNG. — {EspyoT} 16:51, 6 June 2016 (EDT)
