This page is part of the merge with Pikmin Wiki, and needs resolving. Please bear with us as we do so.

Before the import, this subject had a page both on Pikipedia and Pikmin Wiki. You are currently reading the Pikipedia version, and the Pikmin Wiki version can be found here. Both versions need to be manually merged together and placed on the current page.

At Pikmin Wiki, this page was called "Downloadable Content (DLC)", which is likely different from the current title. It might make sense to rename this page.

In terms of software, downloadable content (often shortened as DLC) is the name used to designate any piece of software that complements, but does not complete another piece of software. In games, downloadable content normally comes in the form of extra levels or characters that players can add to their game. As the name would imply, this content is downloadable from the internet, normally with a a small monetary cost.

Pikmin 3 contains a number of Mission Mode map packs obtainable as downloadable content. These packs add some levels to the Collect Treasure! and Battle Enemies! modes. While these packs must be paid for on the Nintendo eShop, a small number of extra Mission Mode levels come for free when the player updates their Wii U's firmware to the latest version.
