Wollywog

Main article: Wollywog.

Wollywogs are the different species of mature amphitubers that live in the bowels of subterranean areas. They are instead gray and have red eyes. They are usually in watery cave habitats. As a general rule, this is true for the Forest Navel since it is sort of a cave. They are just like Yellow Wollywogs, just throw Pikmin on its body and call them away when the creature falls after its jump. These creatures are more aggresive than their cousin, and have changed their coloration due to its sun lacking cave environment. In Pikmin 1, you'll see them before the Yellow Wollywog. In Pikmin 2, you will likely see them second since they are in more difficult caves.[they have a bettter chance of killing pikmin then their cousin

Yellow Wollywog

Main article: Yellow Wollywog.

Yellow Wollywogs are the most common thing one may think of when they hear the term 'amphituber' or 'wollywog' since it has evolved in a natural state unlike its cave cousin, the ('gray') Wollywog. They live near most freshwater and non-cavelike bodies of water, though not always true. For an unknown reason, they jump into the air and try to crush your Pikmin. They somtimes do an odd glitch when they jump. It is best if you avoid the jumps in any case, and get behind and throw your Pikmin. Call your Pikmin when they fall or they will scatter due to the force of the Wollywog's impact. Repeat until this creature is finished, it would be best if you always got rid of these since they can be a big problem for passing Pikmin. Purples actually work well as long as the creature is not in the water.

Wogpole

Main article: Wogpole.

The Wogpole is an enemy in the Pikmin games. It resembles a tadpole, and is in fact the baby form of amphitubers. It is one of the weakest water-based enemy in the game. In the first game, it only appears in the The Forest of Hope and The Distant Spring area. They are typically a hard-to-get, low-reward enemy in that they are fast swimmers that run away and only give out 1 Pikmin when carried to the Onion. In Pikmin 2, they are found in the Awakening Wood and Perplexing Pool areas, as well as being found in the sublevels of some caves. Also, they can occasionally get out of the water. When they do this, they will flop high in the air and move more slowly. As stated, they are not worth killing, so don't bother unless you really want to retrieve it.
