The Fireflap Bulborb (トビヒノマダラ?, lit.: "Flying Fire Danainae") is a flying fiery enemy in Hey! Pikmin. It has no legs but it has wings and because of this it floats around in the air, and since its body is on fire, only Red Pikmin can be thrown at one to take it out.

Strategy

The following article or section contains guides.
The strategies shown are just suggestions.

Fireflap Bulborbs will swoop down and drop fireballs on anyone below. Luckily, they don't appear in levels with any Pikmin that aren't Red Pikmin, so the only one to worry about is Olimar. Keep your distance from the Bulborb and hurl a Pikmin at it from afar. Like most enemies in this game, they die in one hit.

Notes

Hey! Pikmin logs

This evolved Fiery Dwarf Bulblax has taken flight, it seems. It rains down flaming chunks of desiccated skin, an attack as effective as it is disgusting. Though given the nature of its projectiles, perhaps it doesn't mean to attack at all?
