The Buddy Display is sitting atop a set of books on the desk along the central east part of the Hero's Hideaway. It is guarded by a Miniature Snootwhacker, which should be defeated before attempting to collect it. To collect this treasure, you must throw 20 Pikmin at it.

“This device not only stores but also displays images from the distant past. And there's something about the image frozen on the screen now. The two friendly creatures pictured there are...familiar...somehow. Try as I might, I can't quite put my finger on it.”
