The Arctic Cannon Beetle is a boss in Pikmin 4, and the adult stage of the Arctic Cannon Larva. The Arctic Cannon Beetle appears similar to the Armored Cannon Beetle and Horned Cannon Beetle, with a light blue shell, blue skin, red eyes, and no blowhole. It also spits out snowballs instead of boulders. Due to its lack of a blowhole, it breaths through its mouth instead, meaning it can inhale groups of Pikmin. Half of the Pikmin it inhales are eaten, and the other half launched out within a snowball. When it attacks, it will make a low power suction vortex. After a few seconds, it will grow stronger and suck Pikmin in super fast. When the vortex powers up, the creatures wings will open up to release the air it’s sucking in. This is its weak point. Strategy’s:
Ride oatchi and when it attacks, circle around to the back. When its wings go out, rush at its weak point with oatchi. This will launch the players whole squad onto the weak point. Any Pikmin can damage the weak point, it does not have freezing ability.
