2021
Winter Sticker Decor Pikmin
For a limited time centered around Christmas, Roadside-type Decor Pikmin wore special holiday-themed stickers instead of the standard letter stickers. This applied to any Pikmin sprouted during this period, regardless of when it reached Decor status. It started on December 21st, 2021 after being announced the day before,[1] and finished on January 11th, 2022. This was the first event to introduce limited-time special Decor Pikmin. There was another effect of this event which was announced later, which was that coins were earned 1 for every 250 flowers planted instead of 1 for every 500 flowers planted, capped at 60 coins per day, and lasting for the duration of the event.[2]

This event was announced on September 4th, 2022.[9]

After a few hours, it was changed to "Plant 1,000 white flowers" for people who hadn't opened the app yet, and a few hours later, people who had started the mission when it wasn't working had it automatically completed even if they hadn't walked 10,000 steps yet.[10][11][12]
Missions referring to a specific color of flowers counted all flower types of that color, not just the basic type. For example, planting white spider lily flowers or white rose flowers would count towards missions requiring the planting of white flowers.
