The heavil family is a family of species introduced in Pikmin 3, although the family went unclassified until Hey! Pikmin. This family is made of two species, which are known for their throwing abilities.
Members[edit]
Flatterchuck[edit]
- Main article: Flatterchuck.
Scientific name: Platylepas ascendii
Flatterchucks are flat creatures that only appear in Hey! Pikmin. They are harmless; they only jump if Olimar and/or Pikmin stand on them. If nothing is on it, it will remain static. When they jump, they throw upwards anything that is on top of them.
Skutterchuck[edit]
- Main article: Skutterchuck.
Scientific name: Hierodeciderit crystallosum
Skutterchucks are creatures that appear in Pikmin 3, Pikmin 4 and Hey! Pikmin. They are harmful enemies that can launch crystal nodules at Pikmin and crush them. Only Rock Pikmin are immune to those attacks.
Naming[edit]
The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Hey! Pikmin. |
The family’s name is a portmanteau of “heave”, referring to their ability to throw stuff, and “weevil”.
