The Splurchin family is a family of urchin-like enemies in Hey! Pikmin. The only known member in the family is the Large Splurchin, belonging to the Spicasfaira genus.

The Large Splurchin is an enemy in Hey! Pikmin. It is one of the few creatures in the entire series that is completely invincible and acts more like an obstacle, blindly moving in a single direction and being covered in deadly spikes.
Naming[edit]
The name "Splurchin" is a play on urchin, the real-world creature the enemy it is based after.
The name of the Spicasfaira genus comes from spica, Latin for spike, and sfaira, Greek for sphere.
