The Crablipps family is a family of arthropods introduced in Pikmin 4. Its only member is the Grubchucker. It belongs to the genus Carabea.
Members
Grubchucker
- Main article: Grubchucker.
Scientific name: Carabea vescora
The Grubchucker is an enemy in Pikmin 4. It is a particularly tall enemy compared to most, with even Yellow Pikmin struggling to reach its height. It hunts Pikmin by seizing them with its claws and placing them into the fleshy mouth on top of its body, swallowing and killing them after a few seconds if not interrupted. It typically inhabits, and is encountered within, shallow waters and pools of mud.
Naming
The following article or section is in need of assistance from someone who plays Pikmin 4. |
"Crablipps" is a combination of "crab" (a real world animal the Grubchucker resembles) and "lips", likely in reference to the large lips on the Grubchucker's mouth.
Members belong to the genus Carabea, which translates in Latin as a type of crustacean.
