The Awakening Wood level is the second level that can only be accessed after Olimar gets the Spherical Atlas from the Emergence Cave in the Valley of Repose. It resembles The Forest of Hope from the original Pikmin game. This level is Spring-themed and it seems to be what once was a garden. The Awakening Wood level has four caves, seven treasures, and many foes. This is where Olimar will meet Blue. White Pikmin are found inside one of the caves. Because of the great number of Pellet Posies that can be found here, it is the best place to get Pikmin in the game. In this area, there are 765 Pokos worth of treasure in the NTSC version and 805 Pokos in the PAL version.
In this area, Blue Pikmin are needed only to collect the Air Brake and the Decorative Goo; every other feature of the area doesn't require blues.
