The Fiery Young Yellow Wollyhop (Fiery Young Yellow Wollywog in the North American version, ヤキコイモガエル^?, lit.: "Sizzling Young Potato Frog") is a fiery variation of the Young Yellow Wollyhop. It acts and looks exactly the same as the standard Young Yellow Wollyhop, but its body is perpetually on fire, meaning that only Red Pikmin can kill one. Its tadpole and adult stages are not seen.

Behavior

Just like the Young Yellow Wollyhop it will simply jump forward, crushing Pikmin that it lands on. When it reaches a wall, it will change directions. Because of its immunity to fire, it can travel through fire geysers safely, unlike its non-fiery counterpart.

• Common name: Fiery Young Yellow Wollyhop. The "Fiery" distinguishes it from the normal Young Yellow Wollyhop, the "Young" in its name confirms it is an infant version of its species (presumably the "Fiery Yellow Wollyhop"), and "Yellow" distinguishing it from the regular Wollyhop.
• Japanese nickname: ヤキコイモガエル^?, lit.: "Sizzling Young Potato Frog".
• Japanese name: ダルマヤキイモガエル^?, lit.: "Daruma Sizzling Potato Frog".
• Scientific name: Volcanus amphicaris frodendum. Volcanus is a play off of "volcano", eluding to its fiery exterior. This is also part of the species name for the Fireflap Bulborb and the Fiery Dwarf Bulblax. It shares its specific epithet with the Wolpole, Amphicaris frodendum.
• Internal names: Its internal name is koimo. Its generator name is enemy_grasshopper_low.
