Initially, the Foolix disguises itself as a blob of nectar, waiting for the player or Pikmin to draw near. It will attack when either of them get close.
Like the Goolix, its primary attack is to absorb Pikmin (and possibly the player) into its body; however, it is far more aggressive in doing so and will try to stretch itself in order to engulf them more effectively. It will try to face the player at all times, as the "tail" of its nucleus is its weakness.

The Foolix can be fought in one of two ways: the first is to get behind it and have at least 15 Pikmin pull on its "tail", which will cause it to burst out of its membrane and leave it vulnerable until it can reform its cytoplasm. Alternatively, Ice Pikmin can be used to freeze and shatter it for the same effect, although this must be done quickly to avoid Pikmin losses.
