|name = Rus ???}}The Desiccated Skitter Leaf is an enemy introduced in Pikmin 3. It is a hostile Skitterling, contrary to the harmless Skitter Leaf. It disguises itself as a withered leaf. It scuttles around with great speed, and can snatch a Pikmin with what appear to be claws and devour it within a split second. These creatures are usually found in the Twilight River, as they are camoflaged almost flawlessly by the dirt and fallen leaves. It produces noises similar to those of a Skitter Leaf, but its sounds much more aggressive. Also like the other Skitterling, upon death, it slowly floats to the ground, and produces a soft noise. It is easy to carry, requiring one Pikmin, and unlike the Skitter Leaf, it is useful for Pikmin cultivation, producing three sprouts.

Although they are agile, Desiccated Skitter Leaves are extremely frail, and will die instantly if a Pikmin is thrown on top of one. These creatures can snatch and eat Pikmin quickly, so if one is on the attack, caution must be taken. If one does manage to grab a Pikmin, it must be defeated quickly.

They will not attack Pikmin if they are in a medium group as they may be frightened and feel it is best to remain camouflaged. They are first found in the Distant Tundra, close to where Charlie crash landed. Their camouflage makes them stick out like a sore thumb, there are only 3 of them here. They're camouflage is way more sucessful in where you encounter them next. In Twilight River, when you rescue the pink onion there are 2 of them on the way. Twilight river's autumn theme makes them way harder to spot. However, Pikmin 3 ramps up the difficulty in Mission Mode's defeat enemies. They are in groups of 5-8 so throwing a pikmin gets about 2-3 of them to attack. They even put one behind a dirt wall in Shaded Garden.

The Desiccated Skitter Leaf looks like a brown, decaying leaf looking enemy that looks like a part of the ground if it is staying still. Unlike the Skitter Leaf, will attack Pikmin if they come too close. They can be killed easily by throwing a Pikmin directly on top of it, though another one is likely near by and will try to attack the thrown Pikmin.
